Chapter 4273 Danist's Plan

Chapter 4273 Danist's Plan
That evening, Xia De did not stay for dinner. After instructing Wei Ge to strengthen the defenses of Fragrance Mansion, he returned home.
Luvia had just gotten off work and was at home listening to Dorothy recount the afternoon's events. Ellie was still there, busy in the kitchen with Winnie. Daniste hadn't arrived yet, but the pointy-eared elf came right after school, looking rather displeased.
"I was supposed to come here with Ellie this afternoon, but Granny Kisara called me back and asked me to meet with the elf representatives from out of town. Their clan is interested in relocating here. Otherwise, I could have gone to Arcadia City to rescue Ajerina."
"There will be a lot going on over there recently, but there will be opportunities."
"Shad said, glancing at Emilia's homework spread out on the table. Although they were both students of St. Byron's, the academy had much higher requirements for on-campus students than for correspondence students. Even though Shad took the exam to skip grades every year, he didn't have nearly as much homework as Emilia."
"Speaking of which, have Ellie finished all her assignments and course papers? I don't think I've ever seen Ellie bring them with her."
When Shad returned to his room to change, he asked again, and Emilia, speaking from the dining room across the living room, replied:
"Ellie and the other unicorn girls take the same classes and do the same assignments. They often team up to finish their papers, and they're much faster than me. Of course, I also have friends to discuss assignments with, but I'm definitely not as fast as the unicorns."
She kept saying things like "unicorns have special talents" and "elves are different from unicorns," and it was clear that she envied Ellie and Leona for not having to worry about homework all the time.
Luvia was very concerned about Adelina's attack that afternoon. Originally, Lacey wanted to ask her to do a divination to see if it was an attack targeting Adelina or just an accident, but after Dorothy finished telling the story, Luvia offered to do the divination herself.
The divination results reassured Lacey considerably; Adelina was most likely just caught up in the accident. The academic community has yet to reach a consensus on what kind of recipient the Guardian-level relic, "Mother," prefers; it seems Adelina simply happened to fit the relic's preferences.
Luvia also agreed with Shad's idea of taking this opportunity to severely damage or even wipe out the [Holy Son Alliance]:
"Instead of letting them become an even bigger problem in the future, let's take action now. It is indeed troublesome that the [Holy Son Alliance] possesses a source of fire of unknown origin, but fortunately, 'Abomination' has not been fully born yet, and judging from Shad's description, the other party must have suffered serious trauma because of what happened this afternoon."
Luvia had no intention of using her only coin; she planned to try searching using ordinary divination methods first.
“I also need to go to the front lines this time, to see the Infant Mother and the Abomination with my own eyes, so that I can be sure whether they are candidates or not. Although Shad said that the purpose of the [Alliance of the Holy Sons] coming to Arcadia is not to be chosen, no one knows if they will change their minds.”
Luvia had been fiddling with her tarot deck on the coffee table in the living room before dinner. Denise also arrived before dinner and, after hearing about the day's events at the table, hesitated for a moment before speaking:
"Actually, I also researched a lot of information at the academy about the thing that the Holy Son Alliance was trying to create. There is no precedent for such blasphemous behavior, at least not in the academy's records."
Perhaps the divine bodies used by the gods do indeed contain remnants deep within their bloodlines, but I'm certain that the power created by the [Holy Son Alliance] is far from divine. I've discussed this topic with several professors at the seminary, and the Five Gods Church, after taking notice of this organization, also investigated what they had uncovered.
The current conclusion is that the golden power was neither a miracle nor even blasphemy. It was a power that could only be born in this fragile age of the world, an unbridled madness and an evil that loathed the entire world.
From a religious perspective, the Church of the Five Gods believed that the supreme power of the sun was the greatest nemesis of inferior forces, and that even the moonlight of Shad might not be able to harm its essence.
Xia De, however, was quite understanding:
"Moonlight isn't a omnipotent power after all. It seems Iluna and Claire will be the main force this time. I plan to launch the operation this week. Danist, if you have time, come and help out."
Shad's current plan is simple: find the [Holy Son Alliance], attack, and defeat them. Specific details still need to be filled in, and the initial investigation can currently only be conducted through divination. Since Shad is going to Moon Bay to find Sirius tomorrow night, Luvia plans to go with him and perform divination with Bella.
Dorothy also offered suggestions:
"What the Holy Son Alliance wants to do is blasphemous in the eyes of any believer of any god. Perhaps we can find some other helpers. The Church of the Five Gods will certainly be willing to provide assistance."
Xia De nodded:
“I plan to invite Miss Eden of the Sun Emblem. I don’t intend to contact anyone else in the church besides her. This operation doesn’t need to be too large-scale. Miss Isabella in the council is capable of handling the entire Holy Son Alliance on her own. I’ve invited Miss Eden, and with the addition of Denise, Sylvie, and Vanessa, that makes a total of four thirteen-ring members.”
Daniste laughed and said:
"Don't underestimate them. Last time, the [Holy Son Alliance] didn't have the Fire Source. Since they dared to act again, they must have other reliance on them. Besides, although I'm reluctant to admit it, that Great Witch of Time is indeed very powerful. Before you appeared, she was one of the thirteen strongest ring-level beings in the material world. As for now..."
Danestra then recalled the events of the Battle of the Snowy Mountains:
"She is probably the strongest thirteenth ring in the material world. She must have already seen her path to demigodship, and she is closer to the demigod realm than any other thirteenth ring or thirteenth rank in this era. I even suspect that if it weren't for the limitations of the times, she would have already advanced to demigodship."
"Adele"
Shad murmured the name to himself, then shook his head:
"Let Luvia and Bella conduct preliminary investigations first. If they discover that the other side has some kind of means that we can't handle, we can have Galina and the others invite that speaker to join the operation. I'm not the main force this time, so I don't need to show myself in front of her."
Today is Tuesday. Margaret and Sylvia are expected to arrive in Arcadia on Thursday, and next week is the official opening of the Old World Industrial Exposition.
Shad had a vague feeling that something big was about to happen, and the "Final Child" that all parties were trying to create was probably nearing its end. The arrival of the "Sea of Origin" would definitely bring great disaster to Arcadia City, and what the emergence of various new races meant for the world was something that only Luvia from the past could understand.
The dragon egg in the house was very well-behaved throughout the day. Winnie said that although she took care of it at home, she didn't actually need to do anything.
Mia seemed to really like the egg, treating it like a new friend. Although she didn't stay with it all the time, she would occasionally go over to check on it. And when night fell, with Mia by its side, the dragon egg indeed stopped shaking, proving that yesterday's calm was no coincidence. Only then did Daniste feel relieved.
Ellie and Emilia returned to the academy after dinner, while Luvia, Dorothy, and Daniste stayed behind. Luvia performed a divination for Dorothy and Lacey, but without much success. She then suggested a divination for the dragon egg. When the three cards were turned over, Luvia said with considerable surprise:
“It seems, Daniste, that your teacher will probably be able to hatch within half a month.”
The whole family was sitting in the living room, and Daniste was quite surprised on the short sofa:
"Half a month? That fast? I thought I'd have to wait much longer."
Luvia nodded as she gathered the playing cards back together on the coffee table:
"That's the hint fate has given, but considering..."
"Then we need to be prepared!"
The female administrator was in high spirits:
"I wonder if the baby dragon will need baby wipes and diapers after it hatches. I don't have any dragon milk here, but I can ask the dragons on Dragon Island for some. The Crescent Moon Cult has also replied to me; they will send a very professional sorceress to guide me on how to take care of the newborn dragon baby."
Shad kindly reminded him:
“If Ms. Carter had retained the most basic judgment after hatching, you would be punished by her for saying these things.”
Daniste winked:
"Then let's consider her school enrollment and registration. Children always need to go to school."
Dorothy smiled and reminded him:
"Everyone can feel the power contained in this egg. Even if Ms. Carter doesn't reach the thirteenth ring after hatching, she will definitely not be weak. She probably won't need to go to school, right? And even if she does need to go to school, there's no need to register a newborn child, is there?"
But Denise was still very excited, and Shad suspected that she even had the idea of taking Ms. Carter as a student as well. Ms. Carter's mysterious disappearance had left Denise feeling lost and confused for a long time, and after such a long adventure to find her again, Denise was probably going to take a little "revenge" on her teacher.
Seeing that everyone else was talking about what happened after the dragon egg hatched, Luvia had to cough twice to get everyone's attention back to her:
"No one can foresee the truth of the future. What I see are merely ripples of fate, just one possibility. Instead of imagining a dragon egg hatching, you should think about why this egg can hatch in less than half a month."
Its incubation requires extremely demanding final conditions. Could Shad really find suitable soil in Arcadia within two weeks to plant this seed?
