Chapter 4048 The New "Spark"

Chapter 4048 The New "Spark"

Chapter 4048 The New "Spark"

"Can this destroyed furnace be considered a divine artifact?"

Shad suddenly asked this question, and the three witches exchanged glances and nodded slightly. Miss Feliananna, sitting on Shad's shoulders, swung her legs:

"This furnace contains the complete secret of the creation of flesh and blood. If you can take this out, this dangerous adventure will be completely worthwhile. Keep it; although it's useless to you now, it's still a decent gain."

The third item left behind by the enemy was a metal eye, made of a material similar to that of the melted-down furnace.

Miss Bradley picked it up and exclaimed in surprise:

"What incredible vitality!"

The eye looked the same shape as the giant baby's eye from before, only its size was no different from a normal person's eye. Everyone took turns examining it; the copper-colored metal felt warm.

You can't feel anything without direct contact, but once you do, you can clearly perceive the immense vitality it contains.

This is not a "spark"; the life force is simply concentrated in this eye. Madame Gustave even believed that if this eye were placed in the eye socket of a corpse, that corpse would be activated into an exceptionally powerful flesh-and-blood mutant in a very short time.

Miss Felian Anna, in her doll form, also examined it and reached a similar conclusion to everyone else:

"Yes, this is a pure crystallization of life force. And because it has been separated from the mutated flesh and blood vessel, if you have the means to utilize life force, you can use the life force within it to cast spells."

Even without similar methods, applying it to the wound would accelerate recovery. However, this factory has the ability to twist flesh, so using this uncontrollable external life force for healing isn't a good idea.

The blood mist completely dissipated, and the room had returned to its original state as the [Life Furnace] room, so it was relatively safe, and everyone was happy to chat a bit more.

Gina then asked Shad curiously:

“Shad, is this similar to the ‘Spark’ you mentioned?”

Xia De was just thinking about this question:

“I have a very strange premonition that if I bring the ‘Spark of Life’ close to this eye, it will immediately ignite the life force within it, and then transform all the life force condensed within it into the ‘Spark of Life’. In this way, this metal eye will also be transformed into the ‘Spark Source’.”

However, unlike Shad's, all the sparks that appeared in the Sixth Era were abnormally distorted, while this one, once transformed, would be the first normal spark that Shad came into contact with.

"Will there be any difference between the current state and the state after it is transformed into a spark source?"

Even Mrs. Gustav consulted Schade on this matter, and Schade replied:

"Yes. Currently, this eye is simply an organ that houses a large amount of life force. Although it has been transformed into a metallic material for some reason, its essence has not changed. Because it is just an organ that carries life force, it still has the ability to be reactivated if it encounters a suitable host, and it is even entirely possible that it will revert to what we just saw."

Shad handed the eye in his hand back to the old witch:

"If it is transformed into a source of ignition, its essence will no longer be the organs left behind after the monster died, but simply a container that carries life force. This means that the thing just now has no chance of being reborn."

But Shad did not simply praise the "source of fire":

“This transformation is irreversible. I’m not sure if you can still utilize this enormous life force once the transformation is complete. After all, the original spark source in my hand was too dangerous. Apart from me using my power once to save someone, no one has ever tried to actively ignite the spark within it.”

Mrs. Gustave was very decisive:

"Then let's convert it into a 'spark.' It's far too dangerous to keep an organ of a mutated monster in this land of mutated flesh and blood."

Miss Bradley and Gina thought the same thing, and then they consulted the doll on Shad's shoulder, but Miss Feliananna did not offer any advice:

“You are the ones invited to this adventure, and I am only here to assist Gina and Shad. I will offer advice and support at crucial moments, but I will not guide all your actions.”

Every decision made by this demigod witch seemed reasonable to everyone, so the four of them discussed it again and finally decided that for safety's sake, Shad should completely transform the eye.

"Alright then, Spell: Life Flame."

Shad raised his left palm upward, causing the metal eye to float; his right hand pressed against his chest, and after a moment, he extracted the tiny, swaying flame. The red dot was the flame itself; the flickering tail was merely an illusion.

He extracts the life force, but he doesn't only extract the whole thing. This time, he takes out a portion of his own life force.

This behavior was actually depleting his maximum life force, but Xia De didn't care about such a slight depletion—it was roughly equivalent to a huge four-digit number, with the single digit changing slightly.

Everyone, including the puppet, was watching closely. Then, Shad flicked his fingertip, and the spark flew into the metal eye that hovered above his left palm.

The red dots seemed to adhere to the metal surface, but they quickly grew brighter and covered a larger area. In just a dozen seconds, the entire metal eye was ignited, transforming into a burning flame eye, quietly and steadily suspended in Shad's palm.

"So beautiful~"

Miss Bradley sighed softly, Gina nodded in agreement, while Mrs. Gustave was quite shocked:

"Although I've heard your description, I still can't believe it when I actually see it. This unique form of life force is completely detached from its carrier and source. I think I've read most of the books in the church, but I've never heard of this before."

Because this normal "spark" contains normal life force, although the production process is much simpler than that of Shad's, its stability is excellent.

Shad checked it again and then informed everyone:

"I can use this spark to replenish your lost vitality. In a healthy state where your vitality is not lacking, I can also use this to increase your upper limit of vitality."

Of course, the upper limit of life force cannot be increased indefinitely, after all, everyone's body has its limits. Once the upper limit of life force is raised to a certain level, the physical form of existence will likely undergo abnormal changes.

We're all high-ranking witches, so of course we understand what Shade means.

The three witches then examined the "Spark," and since it was a normal Spark, everyone was free to try it. Gina and Lady Gustav were unable to activate the Spark's power; perhaps further investigation would be possible, but there wasn't time for that.

The halfling girl's final examination brought her to a startling conclusion:

"This spark source can actually be regarded as a demonic eye."

Not all Mystic Eyes in the material world are relics; theoretically, any eye possessing extraordinary abilities can be considered a Mystic Eye. I initially thought this thing just resembled an eye in shape, but when I tested it using the method my sister taught me for identifying Mystic Eyes, it actually reacted.

However, she was also very cautious:

"But I'm not sure what will happen if you carry this on your body, so I don't recommend doing it, at least not here."

Xia De then asked:

"So, the AllSpark can also be embedded in your shield and used like the Mystic Eye?"

Miss Bradley nodded:

"It should be possible. Although I wouldn't dare to use the unknown Mystic Eyes directly, at least there shouldn't be any problems with containment in this way."

This means that the [Eye of the Demon Club] in the Sixth Era most likely possesses the method to use the "Spark".

Miss Feliana examined the burning eye one last time. Even the demigod witch had never seen anything like it, yet she too praised this "eye":

"This is simply the most perfect vessel for life. Life energy exists in the form of a spark and is then stored within it. In my view, this so-called 'spark source' is more like a manifestation of some kind of rule. Yes, the rule of creation, a vessel that holds unclaimed life force, is probably meant to be like this."

The four of them talked for a while longer. The "Spark" would be temporarily kept by Shad, and the halfling girl would take care of it while Shad was away. As for what to do with it after they left, that would be decided after they left.

Everyone had just gone through a battle, and now that it was safe here for the time being, they rested for a while. Gina then entered a dream to replace Mrs. Gustav and continue to sense the source of the crying.

Xia De, who had suffered considerable losses in the battle, was fully restored thanks to the life-giving spark within the "Spark Source." His life force, mental strength, and spirit could be transformed into each other; with this Spark Source, he essentially had an all-powerful supply.

During the break, they didn't talk much, planning to discuss things in more detail once they reached the room containing the next furnace. Just before the old witch opened the door to the next room, the doll on Shad's shoulder suddenly spoke:

"I did a divination, and we should be close to the furnace room you're looking for. There are at most five more rooms to go."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief; the journey to find the furnace had been far too long.

The door opened, and the brand-new room was surprisingly safe after the intense battle. The room, about the size of a washroom, had rusty iron shelves along all four walls, filled with various flesh and blood specimens in glass jars of different sizes.

"This is the organ exhibition room in the factory. Although you can't stay for long, it's a safe room as long as you don't touch any of the exhibits."

Mrs. Gustave breathed a sigh of relief and led everyone inside.

The room wasn't large; it was even a bit cramped for four people to stand together. And the specimens housed there weren't all high-value flesh samples; Shad even saw an ordinary, rotting white mouse soaking in a preservative solution, the meaning of which was unclear.

Miss Bradley saw a demonic eye, and Gina stared at the dragon's fire sac submerged in the enormous jar. Mrs. Gustav, however, didn't examine any of the specimens closely; she simply remarked:

"Let's not touch anything in this room, let's just leave."
