Chapter 4042 Prayer Room

Chapter 4042 Prayer Room

Gina continued to comfort Miss Bradwell, while Shad, who was sitting with his legs drawn up, looked at Mrs. Gustav:

“You come from the Church of Creation, and Miss Bradvi’s background is not in question, but she is also involved with that ancient god. The letter she received originally belonged to her sister, who is probably a true believer of the ancient god.”

People in this world also despise casual believers, but if someone simultaneously worships the ancient gods and the old gods associated with them, then there is no problem.

"It seems that the factory has conditions for selecting invitees. But I don't understand why Gina was invited."

Shad said, and Gina immediately turned and shook her head:

"I am a follower of the Dragon God [Dragon Wing Emperor], and this great being is certainly not related to that creator."

This is the second son of the dragon, and can be considered the younger brother of the evil god [Dragon Devourer] that Shad encountered in Moon Bay. It's worth mentioning that the blessing of the dragon's four sons still resides with Shad to this day.

But Mrs. Gustave pointed out:

“Gina is a mutant Ruby Dragon. Although she is pureblooded, her bloodline has undergone a mutation. In ancient beliefs about the God of Creation, it is generally believed that bloodline mutations, especially positive ones, are related to the blessings of the Creator.”

Gina winked:

"Positive mutation?"

She never thought that her bloodline mutation was positive, after all, the "strange" scale color that was different from her peers caused her a lot of suffering when she was young.

"Within the Church of Creation, some witches specialize in the study of bloodline mutations. They generally believe that any mutation that does not significantly exhibit defects can be considered positive."

Mrs. Gustave concluded:

"So, apart from Mr. Hamilton, who is different from us, the three of us are actually here because we are connected with that ancient creator."

"Your act of lighting the four furnaces is increasingly resembling a ritual."

As Shad spoke, the old witch nodded with some worry. At this moment, even Miss Bradley, whose eyes were red, looked over:

"I've heard my sister tell many similar stories, so are the three of us sacrifices?"

She said what Mrs. Gustave hadn't said aloud, and Gina's face immediately turned pale. The old witch neither confirmed nor denied it:

"We've only lit the second furnace so far, let's not think about that now. Mr. Hamilton's stay is limited, let's get going."

The pink dragon girl's large tail stopped wagging, and she pursed her lips as she continued packing. However, she soon sensed Shad's gaze and turned to see him looking at her.

Shad made no promises, only smiled at her. Gina Rosa, the Pink Gem Dragon, blushed instantly and quickly turned her head away so Shad wouldn't see her expression, but she did feel much better.

The witches quickly dismantled the shelter and set off again. As always, Mrs. Gustav was at the front, Gina was at the back, and Shad and Miss Bradvi, carrying a small bucket and a small shield, were in the middle.

This time, it was no longer Gina who could hear the baby crying, but Mrs. Gustave. She led everyone to the door Shad had come through, opened it, glanced inside, and then said with relief:

"No problem, let's go in."

The brand-new room was filled with rhythmic, loud thumping sounds. The room was almost as big as the "blood collection workshop." Ten conveyor belts powered by unknown sources were transporting various sizes of withered bones from one end of the room, while metal hammers connected to the ceiling were constantly striking the bones before they entered the exit at the other end of the room.

Such hammering is extremely inefficient because bone fragments and pieces fly off the conveyor belt continuously during the process, leaving a thick layer of broken bone on the floor of the room.

"This is the Bone Forging Workshop. Like the Blood Collection Workshop, this type of room is very likely to appear in the [Bloodstained Factory]."

"Walking with Shad, Miss Bradwell spoke softly, her eyes still red. Although no one blamed her for lying at the beginning, she still felt a little guilty:

"The danger here isn't great. When walking on these broken bones, some areas will sense the presence of living people and assemble into skeletons similar to undead creatures, but much stronger than undead. Even if you fly, it won't help; nobody knows what they're sensing."

Gina, standing behind Shad, asked expectantly:

"Shad, can you sense which area is problematic?"

Shade shook his head:

"I can only sense that all the bones on the ground contain an astonishing vitality. Theoretically speaking, these bones are actually alive."

He remembered that he hadn't yet demonstrated that power, and considering that he might need it later, he told Mrs. Gustav not to go inside yet:

"Look at you."

He bent down and touched the bone fragments near the doorway:

"Spell: Life Spark"

Then, Madame Gustave, who had just said that "using the flame of life is the authority of the gods," saw a wisp of flame emerge from Shad's fingertip. At that moment, the three witches simultaneously began to breathe heavily; they all longed for it.

Fortunately, the trials of this strange place strengthened their spirits, and they quickly overcame this deep-seated yearning. Gina said with great awe:

"Is this the 'spark of life' that everyone was just discussing?"

"Yes, the life force contained in every bone here is stronger than the life force of an ordinary person I see in the normal world. In my opinion, every strike of those forging hammers is tempering life force."

The bones that fell off the conveyor belt were actually those with relatively weak vitality; the bones on the conveyor belt themselves contained the most astonishing vitality.

Xia made a very apt analogy:

"It's like the difference between an ant and an elephant. If these bones are also the basic raw materials for creating some kind of life form, I find it hard to imagine how powerful the so-called 'new life' that eventually appears would be."

"Let's go. Since all the bones are problematic, we can only be more careful."

Mrs. Gustav said she did not comment on Shad's sorcery. The old witch led everyone, crunching and snapping, over bone fragments, toward the room diagonally opposite. These bones appeared to come from various different races, and their physical strength even surpassed the alloy Shad knew of used to forge steam cannon barrels in the Sixth Era.

Animated skeletons don't appear very often in this room; the first one didn't appear until they had walked a third of the way, right behind Gina's tail.

The powerful tail swept out, but with a thud, it crashed into the seemingly unstable skull, and Gina almost lost her balance due to the force of the recoil.

"I'm here—to imprison the halo!"

Three different colored moon halos flew out and bound the skeleton tightly. It had no ability to break free, but it was still able to hop and hop, trying to keep up with the group, even though it was confined by the halos.

Gina's large tail swept across its feet, causing it to fall among the remains of its kind, never to jump again.

As the most frequently visited room in the factory, the Bone Forging Workshop wasn't particularly dangerous. However, correspondingly, the group gained nothing else from this room. As they approached the door to the next room, Mrs. Gustave warned again:

"I can still hear crying from four rooms. If we haven't found the furnace after passing through those four rooms, we'll probably have to find a way to rest again."

"But what exactly happened? Why is it so hard to find a room this time?"

Miss Bradley didn't understand, but the old witch shook her head, signaling everyone to follow her.

Shad and Gina dealt with the three skeletons that appeared behind them, and Mrs. Gustave, after opening the next door, exclaimed in surprise again:

"Why is it another rest room? A safe room! This is the factory's prayer room, come in quickly. There's a new safe room right after just one dangerous room, which is something that hasn't happened before."

The four quickly entered the room, shutting out the sounds of hammering and the skeletons from the doorway.

Shad and Gina had been fighting together. Before the door closed, Gina saw Shad chew something and then spit out a grayish-white bubble, which floated out through the crack in the door.

"You're using the Bubble Charm I taught you? Oh, you combined it with a Dragon Shout? How did you do that?"

"Can't you even do a simple simultaneous spellcasting?"

Gina was a little embarrassed:

“I don’t have that much control over the Dragon Roar. When I tried before, I blasted the window and Elfina into the academy’s garden, and the black dragon maid swept me out with a broom. Your control is really strong.”

Because true gods exist in this world, even in the Sixth Era, prayer rooms still exist in the Great Factory, though they are generally only used by the management.

The brand-new room is the prayer room in this factory. The room is long and narrow, with two doors located at opposite ends of the corridor.

On the long side of the room, there are many shrines evenly spaced, each containing a holy emblem of a different deity, with a golden ever-burning candle on either side of the emblem.

“The notebook I found described this kind of room, which is almost absolutely safe and can be blessed by praying to the gods. It is the safest and most valuable room in this factory that we know of.”

Miss Bradwell spoke only after Shad and Gina had finished their conversation; Mrs. Gustav was still frowning:

"Two rest rooms appeared almost in a row, and I had a very bad feeling."

"However, the holy symbols here all seem to belong to gods related to [creation]."

The room was quite solemn and dignified. Although the holy symbols looked very ordinary and did not have a strong elemental reaction, Gina still instinctively lowered her voice when she spoke.
