Chapter 4027 Belindel's Determination

"Wei Ge, what are you doing? Weren't you going to the restroom? Why are you here?"

A voice not belonging to this house appeared outside the door. Wei Ge's expression changed, and she lowered her voice to say to Xia De:

"Go inside and hide for a bit."

Without a word, she pushed Shad into the actual changing room before opening the door to let Bella Belindel in.

The Countess of Moon Bay looked curiously into the room:

"Oh, an indoor hot spring? Vige, you really know how to enjoy yourself. But what are you doing here?"

"Bella, why did you come down?"

Wei Ge was somewhat embarrassed:

"Let's go back to the study."

"I just suddenly had a feeling that I should come down and take a look. Don't blame your maid and housekeeper, they couldn't stop me."

Bella's gaze casually swept over the closed door on the inside:

"Forgive me for wandering around your house, but it seems that even for fortune tellers, inspiration doesn't always work."

She glanced around the room, then her gaze finally settled on the closed door:

"Wei Ge, what's that over there?"

The Great Witch of Chaos twitched her lips:

"Bella, this is my home, please give me some privacy. Cough, cough, sorry, cough, cough."

She coughed violently, and Ms. Bella, worried, helped her up, then called the maids who were hesitant to come in at the door:

"Hold Wei Ge firmly. I still feel there's something very important behind that door, something that might be able to heal you."

Then, unexpectedly, she released her colleague. Viggo couldn't stop her at all, and saw Bella walk quickly to the door and suddenly pull it open.

Shad, standing deep inside the door, smiled and waved to the great witch of fate with the beautiful birthmark between her brows. Bella's face also showed a genuine smile. However, she was currently facing away from Viggo, whose heart was about to jump out of her throat, and was blocking the door, so Viggo could not see inside the door, nor could she see her expression.

"Okay, there's nothing there. I was just being a bit paranoid. Sorry, Vige."

Bella closed the door again and went to check on Viggo. The countess, who had been quite spirited since the Moon Bay incident, spoke again before Viggo could become suspicious:

“Recently, a traitor has appeared in the [Church of Creation]. Vigo, maybe there are similar traitors in our organization as well. After all, even the Church of the True God can have problems.”

“The church is different from us; the thirteen of us are very united.”

Wei Ge quickly spoke, fearing that her colleague with powerful divination abilities might have actually seen something:

"I think we should go back upstairs. I'll arrange dinner in a bit. The Speaker and Audrey should be here soon."

"Okay, but I'd like to touch up my makeup in the restroom. Is there a restroom on the first floor?"

"Yes, Laura, take the Earl to the restroom."

The housekeeper led Bella away from the room. Only after making sure they were far away did Viggo hurriedly turn and walk towards the closed door. Opening the door, she immediately embraced Shad.

"That really scared me to death. That was the Great Witch of Fate, her inspiration is amazing. Although I know your illusion magic is also very powerful, I still almost thought she would discover you."

Xia De couldn't say anything about this:

"What is she here for?"

Viggo continued to hold Xia De tightly and refused to let go:

"Today, His Excellency the Speaker brought the Wise Great Witch to the local Vatican. Because of her identity, she couldn't show herself in front of the Church, so she came to me first, saying she wanted to help me investigate my mother's belongings. But I assure you, they will definitely leave on Saturday night."

She kissed Xia De hard on the cheek, her eyes filled with regret and reluctance:

"The next time I see you will be the day after tomorrow."

As she spoke, she pointed to her profile, and Xia De smiled and leaned his head closer. Unexpectedly, Wei Ge seized the opportunity and decisively stretched her head forward to kiss Xia De on the lips. Then, like a fox who had stolen a chick, she covered her mouth and chuckled, but quickly coughed again.

"Alright, alright, you should go back to your study now."

Shad gently patted her back:

"With so many witches around, your stress will be less. When I come back on Sunday, I should be able to bring a talisman to prevent the fire from invading."

Vige nodded, tugging at Xia De's sleeve:

"It's a promise, you have to come on Sunday."

"Of course, see you on Sunday, Vige."

"See you on Sunday. Next week, the council will send a young girl to stay with me for a while, but it will be a little later next week. The witch you know may have already told you about this. See you on Sunday."

She packed the leather goods that Xia De had prepared to take back into a box and handed it to Xia De. Then, seeing that Xia De had not left by dropping the crystal shoe this time, but by using magic to teleport away, she assumed that Xia De had other things to do in the city, such as meeting with friends to gather information.

But in reality, Shad, who had disappeared in front of Vigo, reappeared behind Bella the next moment.

The bathroom on the first floor of Fragrance Residence is much larger than the bathroom in the Xia family's house. The walls are covered with beige and light gray embossed wallpaper, and the floor is made of plain square ceramic tiles.

Bella was standing in front of a white porcelain basin, washing her hands with water from a brass faucet. Hearing the sound, she wasn't surprised at all. Looking up at the frosted mirror with its brass frame, she smiled at Shad's reflection:

"It's really ungentlemanly of you to barge into a restroom with only one lady, Shad. What if I was actually changing?"

Shad had only suddenly thought of this possibility after casting the spell, and he felt somewhat embarrassed. But Bella wasn't accusing him, just teasing him. After wiping her hands with a towel hanging nearby, she smiled and turned to look at Shad:

"Just a reminder, there's still Vige's lipstick mark on your cheek."

Shad then approached the mirror, while Bella had already pulled out a towel, wet it, and wiped away the lipstick stain for Shad. She then kissed him in the same spot, and the Countess was finally satisfied.

"This trip was arranged by His Excellency the Speaker at the last minute. It just so happened that I didn't have anything to do since it was close to the weekend, so I came with His Excellency the Speaker and Megan. They should still be at the Vatican now, and they'll probably come to Vigo's place for dinner."

Wei Ge has already mentioned these things:

"Going back tomorrow? Is that so rushed?"

Bella then pretended to be worried and said:

"This is Wei Ge's territory. She's thinking about having a secret rendezvous with you and doesn't care about professional relations at all. What can I do?"

Instead of defending Vigo, Shad reached out and hugged Bella:

"Thank you for your hard work on this trip. As for Wei Ge's mother, we can only rely on the divination of fortune tellers to find clues at the moment."

"Meghan and Audrey have crazy ancestors, Viggo has a mysterious alchemist mother, everyone has some very strange relatives~"

Bella said, kissing Shad on the cheek again, then took a deep breath and hugged him tightly:

"I really envy Luvia and Galina. They don't even know when they'll see you again."

Then she whispered in Shad's ear:

“After the meeting last night, I went to the opera company’s accommodation in Moon Bay to discuss something with Vanessa, but Sirius stopped me and said that Vanessa was already asleep and had gone to your place, right?”

Shad, holding Bella, pursed his lips, not lying:

"Yes."

"Jalina must be with you too. They really have no shame."

The great witch of fate had actually sensed this matter long ago, but now she was simply confirming it with Shad:

"Galina is a fox guarding the henhouse; I'm not surprised she made her move long ago. I just didn't expect even Vanessa to... It must have been Silris who helped her. Vanessa herself might not have had that kind of courage, but Silris is a very bold girl."

She surprisingly guessed the truth, but Bella didn't blame Shad; she believed it was all her colleagues' fault.

“You have to take care of things here during the day, and then you have to ‘comfort’ the two of them at night. They really don’t know how to appreciate you.”

But actually, there were more than two great witches last night, thankfully Bella didn't continue this topic that troubled her:

"Go on, Shad, go back. The Speaker will be here soon."

“Bella.”

Shad released her, and after a moment of gazing into the witch's golden eyes, he kissed her. Count Belindel of Moon Bay, of course, responded with the utmost passion. After the kiss, both were flushed, and Bella bit her lip, controlling her breathing.

"It will probably be a long time before we meet again. Remember to think of me, Shad."

Shad didn't offer any verbal assurances; he simply lowered his head slightly and kissed the birthmark on Bella's forehead.

Bella's face turned even redder. She pushed Shad away and waved goodbye to him. After Shad threw the crystal shoe away and went home, she turned around and turned on the tap again, this time splashing water directly on her face to calm herself down.

"Really."

Bella, her face still damp with water, looked up at herself in the mirror. She saw herself biting her lip, looking quite dissatisfied. Not dissatisfied with Shad, but with Galina and Vanessa, and perhaps many others she didn't know existed:

If you can do it, then so can I.
