Chapter 3931 The Bloodstained Factory

Chapter 3931 The Bloodstained Factory

Chapter 3931 The Bloodstained Factory

The One-Armed Prince is a very ancient evil god, and perhaps the earliest deity worshipped by mortals in the material world, aside from the ancient gods.

This deity wields the power to deform flesh and blood, and its followers are mostly disabled. Ordinary people who wish to truly infiltrate the inner circle of its followers must become disabled themselves.

The followers of this evil god believe that only the mutation of flesh and blood is the correct path for the continued evolution of mortals, and therefore they are dedicated to conducting all kinds of horrific human deformities, flesh and blood research and experiments.

The infamy of the "Cult of Aberrations" has persisted from the Mythical Era to the Sixth Era. Every era has a record of their evil deeds. Even in the Third Era, when demons roamed freely, they were one of the few groups that disregarded the survival of civilization and insisted on fighting amongst themselves.

Shad knew so much about this order because in the 1840s, before his arrival, the "Cult of Aberrants" had attacked a hospital called "Serpentheart Hospital" in the southeastern part of the Old World. In the end, Sister Daphne personally intervened and, together with the local church's ring sorcerers, brought back most of the kidnapped children.

This was one of the few times Sister Daphne had direct contact with the Church of Orthodox God before the arrival of outsiders.

The title "One-Armed Prince" is related to the ancient god who created the world, the Twilight Creator. The Old Gods associated with this deity all have nicknames such as "Princess" and "Prince," seemingly because the gods of the "Creation" lineage attempted to strengthen their connections through this method.

For example, the "Mother of the Corrupted Embryo" (Chapter 3472), one of the three evil gods worshipped by the false people that Xia De once saw in the "House of False People," is also known as the "Blood Embryo Princess."

However, these are all things from a very ancient era, and Shad had only heard about them from Sister Daphne.

In any case, this "Lord of Flesh and Blood Abnormalities - One-Armed Prince" is definitely a powerful Old God. This is also the third evil god that Shad has encountered in the past era, following the "God of Vampires" and the "King of Bones".

“I don’t think I have any connection with this god. He still exists in the Sixth Era. Could it be that he wants to fight me again? But didn’t an evil god already appear in the snow mountain? According to the pattern, there shouldn’t be an evil god this time.”

Where does this pattern come from?

She asked with a smile.

Among the rewards given for this mission, the first magical technique, [Veil of Night], is clearly related to the [Night] rune. Shad will only know the effect of this magical technique once he obtains it.

As for the second reward, it is a type that has never appeared before.

"A dragon maid contract? What would I do with that? Does it mean Fiona can travel directly from the Fifth Age to the Sixth Age?"

However, we can't rush to think about the rewards right now; the most important thing is the mission itself.

"Alright then, let me see what's really going on at the [Bloodstained Factory]."

Shad, making sure he hadn't missed any mission information, stepped through the fog-shrouded archway. The fog slowly dissipated, and before Shad could fully see his surroundings, a stench of rotting flesh nearly made him vomit.

"what's the situation?"

As the fog completely dissipated, Shad found himself still lying down. But he wasn't lying completely flat; the metal "bed" beneath him was slightly raised at the head end, but no more than thirty degrees.

A dark red, unstable light source provided illumination from an unseen location, surrounded by the chilling gurgling sounds of flowing blood and the cracking sounds of bones shattering.

Two blood-soaked leather straps bound Shad to the "bed," but Shad simply used his waist to sit up and broke free of the straps binding his arms and upper body.

Looking around now, unidentified lamps emitting a dark red glow were installed on the ceiling, which was five or six meters high. All around were devices identical to the blood-stained "metal bed" where Shad lay.

To Xia De, this "bed" actually looked more like an operating table. Only after he got up did he realize that the metal surface had grooves to facilitate the flow of blood. These grooves were also stained with blood and vaguely formed some kind of complex ritual related to flesh and blood.

The factory they were in was quite large, with at least two hundred similar devices visible in the room. However, apart from Xia De, all the other operating tables were occupied by mummified corpses.

Blood was being squeezed from their bodies, and as they struggled, their bones shattered. Bone fragments mixed with blood flowed out, pooling on the ground and then flowing along the blood channels on the ground to the square blood pool in front of the left wall. Xia De did not know where the blood pool was connected to.

The Enhanced Spatial Awareness feature cannot be used here.

"This stench is really annoying. Is this mission going to be an indoor setting again, just like the inn in 'Whispering Hills' last time?"

The dim red lights were quite unstable, flickering intermittently. The stench came from everything in the factory, except for Shad himself; every solid object was soaked in blood. Shad even had the feeling that he had entered the "House of the Pseudo-Humans" again.

"No, there is only a strong smell of blood in the [House of the Fake People], but the blood there doesn't smell bad."

He then used his strength to break free of the straps binding his legs, and as soon as his feet touched the ground, even stranger noises began to ring out around him.

Xia De knew that Tree Father always placed him in very dangerous places, and he thought the danger this time was that the mummies would break free and try to capture him. But in reality, a blood-red tumor, like a water balloon, had grown in the center of the factory roof, and on the surface of that "tumor," human facial features were rapidly differentiating.

Although Xia De didn't know what this thing was, he had felt very uncomfortable in his body since he arrived here. He had a vague feeling that his flesh and blood were out of control, but fortunately it was just a feeling.

When the fleshy face on the ceiling took shape, he felt a similar sensation to when he faced the door covered with the "degraded flesh of the eldest son" deep within the [House of the False Man].

"We need to get out of here quickly."

There was a door in each of the four corners of the factory. Since he couldn't tell which way was north, south, east, or west, or rather, there was no direction here, Xia De, based on his previous experience, chose to rush towards the door closest to him.

The dim red lights inside the factory flickered faster and faster, and as he ran, Xia De even felt the gaze of the "tumor" being cast on his back.

Even after consuming the "degraded eldest son's flesh and blood" and the "pseudo-human mother fluid," he still had an extremely ominous feeling. Fortunately, although his spatial abilities were limited, his speed was still very fast. Just before real disaster struck, he pulled open the red metal door in the corner, slipped through the door, and then slammed it shut behind him.

The loud slam of the door shut out all the strange noises in the factory, and the people in the small room were startled by his sudden appearance. All three pairs of eyes turned to Xia De, who was leaning against the door, as if afraid that something might chase after him.

Xia De was panting, and his eyes widened slightly as he realized that the door he had opened led not to a corridor, but to a new room.

This room is only the size of a normal bedroom, and like the factory room we just saw, it has no windows.

The stone bed was placed in the center of the room, while the screen, low stool, washbasin, rocking chair, baby cradle, and various metal instruments were piled in the corner to the left. The walls were covered in bloodstains, and a faint mist of blood permeated the air, but the stench was much milder than in the large factory room they had just left.

The instruments in this small room are the same style as the "operating table" that Xia De had just seen. In fact, this kind of thing is more suitable for a maternity hospital than a factory.

The small room was also illuminated by intermittently flickering dark red light, and inside, the three witches hesitated, unsure of how to react.

They used the pile of metal debris in the corner to build a small, tent-like "shelter" next to the stone bed, leaving only the area facing the door unblocked, but a layer of transparent air bubbles there to isolate it from the outside air.

The three witches huddled inside, in what looked like a makeshift shelter for homeless people, but Shad knew why they had done so. The cramped "sanctuary" blocked out the dim red light, while the glass bottle containing flames in the middle of the witches allowed normal firelight to shine on each of them as much as possible.

Clearly, there's something wrong with the lighting in the factory.

Shad didn't recognize any of the three witches, which disappointed him somewhat. And of his three companions this time, only one was a pure human. Small symbols indicating their race floated above their heads, but even without the symbols, Shad could recognize their race.

The pink-haired witch had curled-up wings and two horns, and she sat on her large tail. The scales on her tail were also pink, leading Shad to guess that she was most likely a rare variant of the Ruby Dragon.

It's worth mentioning that her figure is quite exaggerated; perhaps only Tifa can compare to her.

She is not a dragonborn like Fiona, but a true dragon like the green dragon maid, Miss Wilde, and she is probably at the eleventh rank.

The short, black-haired witch was a halfling, even shorter than Chloe, and slender. Although she looked young, like a human eight or nine years old, Shad guessed that she was probably in her fifties or sixties, since halflings were long-lived beings.

And her rank is also the lowest; she is a ninth-rank witch.

The last human witch had beautiful blonde hair, but she looked even older than Granny Cassandra. Given her twelfth-rank level, if such an aged appearance was naturally formed, Shad found it difficult to imagine her exact age.

Above the other person's head, next to the human mark, a new string of letters suddenly appeared—Melodi Gustav.
