Chapter 2764: Time Seed and Elf Kingship

Seeing that the pointers could indeed be interfered with by himself, Xia De used the magic of "Contacting the Shadow of the Tree Father" to determine the exact time, and then moved the three pointers to the correct position.

As expected, the light on the holy emblem became more obvious. Xia De looked at the holy emblem again and said softly:

"May the World Tree protect me in infinite time."

As soon as the words fell, the three pointers in the holy emblem accelerated their rotation at the same time, with the hour hand and the second hand rotating clockwise, and the minute hand rotating counterclockwise. When the three pointers overlapped at the top at the same time, the stone door that had been unable to be pushed open just now silently opened a gap.

Xia De smiled and slipped in through the crack in the door. But behind the door was not a treasure room, but a spiral staircase that spiraled downwards, just like the tree hole in the Temple of Time in the forest.

So he summoned a silver ball of light to illuminate his surroundings, first using illusion to cover the entrance behind him, then using [Moonlight Thorns] to completely block the entrance, then he walked down the steps and soon reached the bottom. The space at the bottom of the secret room was not large, and three heavy boxes were placed under the three walls.

"The layout is simple, I thought it would be very ornate."

There was a stone tablet in the center of this hall-sized space. Although Xia De didn't know what the words on it were, he could understand them:

[For those who come after me, I hope you like the elves' music. ]

At first glance, the three boxes looked like they were made of stone, but upon closer inspection, they were clearly made of some special wood that felt like stone. None of the ancient boxes were locked, so Shade could open them now:

"Everything is impermanent! Everything is impermanent!"

He then said anxiously in his heart, and "she" beside him laughed again:

[Need I remind you? This is a gift from the ancient times, and the thirteen Vientiane cards have been recorded more or less in history. It is impossible that they have been here since ancient times. ]

"People still have to have some dreams. Could it be that someone discovered this place in the Fifth Era, took nothing away, and instead put the Card of Impermanence in here?"

Xia De answered like this, then bent down and opened the box on the east side. Although the box was large, the things inside were very small.

"a rock?"

He took out the stone that was about the size of his fist, frowned slightly, and changed his judgment:

"A fossilized seed? What kind of seed is this and why is it so big?"

Although it was a petrified seed, Shade could still feel its inner vitality. In addition to the vitality, there was also a very restrained miracle element contained in it, which probably meant that this seed could be planted.

But there is no instruction manual here, and Xia De doesn’t know how to plant it, let alone what can be grown.

Fortunately, it was old enough to trigger Shade's magic:

[Touched by an item from the First Age, the magic - Ancient Voice is triggered. 】

[Seeds sprout and grow into trees, even those trees with magical powers are the same. The ancient god of time hid the secret of time in seeds, and only seeds that grow and sprout can have tree holes. ]

Xia De was startled:

"This seed won't be able to grow a real 'Time Tree Hole', right?"

All the tree holes he had encountered so far were false time passages caused by the distortion of the essence of the world, which caused the travelers to be tainted with terrible curses. But for the "Time Corridor", there should be an entrance like the other spaces left by the ancient gods, which is the real tree hole.

"So, the entrance to the Corridor of Time can only be obtained through this seed?"

But no one came to confirm Xia De's guess, and no one could tell him how to grow the seeds - it definitely wasn't just a matter of watering and applying fertilizer.

He tried, but the magic [Toy Making] was unable to turn the seed fossil into a toy, which once again proved the extraordinary nature of this seed.

So although he didn't know how to use this seed, Shade knew that he had obtained something incredible:

“You can go ask Mr. Edmund, or the elf may know.

But this is definitely not the 'time fragment' that Mr. Edmund said can cure the time curse. He said that thing is in the shape of glass. Could it be an item related to the ritual of the chosen one?"

Then he opened the box under the south wall. As soon as the box was opened, a soft silver light radiated out. Shade looked inside and saw a silver crown at the bottom of the box.

He took out the crown, which was a typical elven ornament made of mithril. A golden gem was inlaid in the center of the crown, and six smaller green gems were dotted in the mithril extending to the left and right. A total of thirteen gems were like bright stars in the night sky.

The overall design of the crown is light and delicate, with silver branches like vines picked by elves in the forest to encircle the wearer's forehead. These silver branches are dotted with tiny leaves and flowers, and each leaf is carefully carved, as if it will sway gently when the breeze blows.

The delicate workmanship and expensive materials corresponded to the extremely powerful miracle elements. Apart from those artifacts and holy emblems, Shade couldn't even think of any more powerful divine items he had seen.

Of course, there was no instruction manual in the box to explain what it was, but fortunately, "she" in my ear continued:

[Touched by an item from the First Age, the magic - Ancient Voice is triggered. 】

[In the earliest era, the Elven Kingdom once ruled the entire material world. In order to demonstrate their power, the five most powerful kings worked together to forge five powerful crowns. This is the Elven legal system and the Elven kingship.]

"What? This is the Elven Kingship?"

Knowing the name of the crown, a fragment of the elven knowledge from the Tree Father immediately jumped out.

In the long early era, humans were not the most powerful race in the material world, and the kingdom of elves was the strongest force for most of the time. However, the elves were not a whole, and because of differences in beliefs, living habits, and living areas, there were actually conflicts between different elven kingdoms.

As described in the "Ancient Voices", at an unknown time in the First Age, the five most powerful Elf Kings gathered together and created five crowns that symbolized the Elf Kingship. From then on, any Elf who saw the crowns, regardless of birth and clan, would regard the holders of these crowns as kings when their own Elf Kings were not around.

These crowns, made with the most advanced technology of that ancient era and endowed with powerful strength, are almost the material embodiment of the concept of "elven kingship".

The shapes of these five crowns are similar but there are differences. The biggest difference is that the twelve accessory gems on the crowns of the three Elf Kings who believe in the "Ancient God of Time - Father of Infinite Trees" are green, while the twelve accessory gems on the crowns of the two Elf Kings who believe in the "Ancient God of the Moon - Silver Moon Sage" are silver.

The main gems on the crowns of the five elven kings are gold, white, blue, red and purple respectively.

According to the knowledge that Shade possesses, the crowns with red and white main gems were destroyed in the "Dragon War" of the Second Age and in the war with evil spirits and demons in the Third Age respectively.

The sapphire [Elf Kingship] has been lost to this day, and the purple sapphire crown has long since turned into a relic. The miracle element has been contaminated by the whisper element, which is the famous angel-level relic [Crown of the Elf King].

The reason why this relic is so famous is that wearing it can brainwash and control any elves in sight, and this control is silent and cannot be detected by any method. More importantly, the relic crown can even make the dead elves stand up again and gain the knowledge and power that the controlled corpse had when it was alive.

Because of this characteristic, the Amethyst Crown was taken in by several prominent elven clans in the early Sixth Era. Now, even Emilia may not know its whereabouts.

According to Shad's knowledge, the golden jewel crown, along with the sapphire crown, was considered lost.

He lowered his head and looked at the silver ornament in his hand, fiddling with it for a few times to make sure it was not a replica:

"This thing is actually here? Legends and stories have become reality?"

Time has worn away much of the crown's power, but even so, it remains incredibly powerful.

However, considering that he was not an elf, and that he did not have any elven blood when his bloodline was tested, Shad did not try to wear it out of concern that the crown would detect the wearer's bloodline. Instead, after playing with it for a while, he carefully put it on his arm.

However, Emilia can try its power later. Although this crown is good and powerful according to the legend, Shade does not think that this crown is related to the ceremony of the chosen one.

After all, no matter how powerful the royal power is, it cannot interfere with the divine power. This is a truth that has been passed down since the First Age.

"【Elf Kingship】, I didn't expect such a thing to appear. The treasure of the Temple of Time is indeed as surprising as Mr. Edmund said, but this is not what I am looking for."

He turned and looked at the last box:

"That's all I can think of. Time fragments and things related to the Chosen One's Ritual. Can one box hold two items? Or are time fragments things related to the Chosen One's Ritual? Or, are time fragments not something that every [Temple of Time] can produce?"

He thought to himself and reached out to the box, but stopped suddenly before it touched the box. His brows gradually furrowed, his expression became serious, and the "she" beside him laughed again.

As Xia De quickly retreated with silver-white lightning appearing in his hand, the box, realizing that Xia De had no intention of reaching out further, began to tremble suddenly.

PS: I originally wanted to come up with a picture for the crown, but I couldn’t come up with a good one.
