Chapter 1203: Brightness Kingdom
"Huh?" I was completely caught off guard when I heard this.
Taking a moment to gather myself, I said, "We already know that the demons are invading, that was why I went to gather more allies, right?"
The prime minister and the chancellor still had grim looks on their faces, which showed me that this situation wasn't what I thought it was. So I waited for them to explain to me what this meant.
"It's not just that, they've reached the Brightness Kingdom." The prime minister finally said in a heavy voice.
"Huh?" I was once again completely caught off guard by this.
The Brightness Kingdom was one of the kingdoms that bordered our kingdom.
That meant that since the demons had reached the Brightness Kingdom, they were basically on our doorsteps.
But how did the demons come this far into the territory of the humans?
We were considered rather far away from the demons, so they had to push through several other human kingdoms to reach us. With the human empires fighting against the demons, it didn't seem like this was likely.
So how did they get all the way to the Brightness Kingdom?
The prime minister and chancellor could see the look on my face, but they didn't explain anything. Instead, they suddenly stood up from where they were sitting and moved around the study to pull out some things.
When they were done, they brought them over for me to see.
What they brought over was a stack of papers that seemed to be reports from scouts and a large map that they spread across the table.
After spreading out the map, they still didn't say anything as they continued putting different things on the map.
It seemed that things really were related...
"The last reports said that the Brightness Kingdom was still fighting with the demons, but it doesn't seem like the situation is good. We were considering sending reinforcements, but..." Both the prime minister and chancellor revealed strange looks after this was said.
I could easily tell what they were thinking, so I didn't need them to actually say anything.
I knew that they were acting this way because they really were at a loss on what to do about this situation.
This was something that they had never encountered before.
This was something that no one in this world had encountered before since I knew from my wealth of game knowledge that this was an event that was completely new.
So it would be strange if they had an idea of what to do about this.
"What do you think we should do?"
The prime minister and chancellor both turned to me with serious looks when they gathered their thoughts and came back to their senses. They just looked at me like this, waiting for me
to say anything.
I didn't get a chance to say anything in the end because...
"Report! It's an urgent situation!"
There was a soldier that ran in with a stack of papers in his hands.
The three of us all knitted our brows when we heard this.
We knew that no one would barge in on our meeting like this unless it was very urgent.
That meant that this had to be quite the important report for this soldier to do this.
