Urban Spirits.
A new type of Spirit I had never seen before.
Well, not new for the world, but new for me and my family and friends.
Apparently, and according to what I heard, they are created out of man-made Urban Legends.
Their existences are faint, and they might only live a few years before disappearing.
This is because they're made out of the short-term belief of people gathered within a certain area.
Therefore, they're also bound to this area.
However, a tactic they use to remain alive for longer is that they spread more rumors about themselves through the world.
By acting like their Urban Legends, scaring people, or helping them, or stealing from them like these legends... then they begin to become stronger and more real.
An example of one of them as Julio the Stabbed said, would be the Wendigo, a man-eating undead monster.
Maybe other examples could be Big Foot, the Sasquatch, or the Yeti. Perhaps even the Loch Ness Monster, and many more. Find your next read at My Virtual Library Empire
Does this mean that every single Urban Legend or perhaps even Cryptids are real?!
That's just crazy...
"So tell me little guy, are there more like you out there in this city at least?"
Rita became curious about Julio the Stabbed and his origins and also his friends, so she asked him a lot of questions, and honestly me too, everyone was curious.
"So you obtained your Dream and Nightmare Magic from such an otherworldly foe! I see..." Kaguya nodded, amazed. "This is simply amazing though. And this being, he's both a weapon and a Dream Spirit, huh?"
She finally met Morpheus, who had been mostly resting inside of my house for a couple of days. I have unfortunately not really needed his strength lately, and so he went napping.
He didn't really seem to be bothered by not being needed, as both a Dream and Nightmare Spirit and also a Living Weapon he was quite lazy and liked sleeping a lot.
To him, it barely felt like any time passed because he slept so much.
"I am rather flabbergasted, I slept for just some time and now your Domain has grown so big, master..." The scythe-shaped spirit said. "There's even an Angel here now, a Fairy, a Dryad, and... Oh it's that an Urban Spirit? Oh wow!"
"Yeah, yeah, a lot happened while you slept, Morpheus," I giggled. "But it's nice to see you awake again. There's a lot of friends to hang out with now, so you should stay around for longer. I'll be needing your strength in the incoming battles too, so I might bring you along to Arcadia now."
"Oh, that sounds like wonderful news! Perhaps I will cut short my naps then," he nodded. "Also, it would be convenient if I received a small upgrade in the future too... I've grown slightly dusty, and I might benefit from a reforge using new materials."
"I see! I can do that, yeah, in the time you slept I gained a lot of Blacksmith abilities, so leave it to me!" I nodded. "I might reforge you back in Arcadia though, I hope you don't mind?"
"I am rather interested about this other world... So I'll gladly go!" he nodded. "My memories about it are rather faint, mostly from the three skeletons that composed my creation, who were once mercenaries in the ancient past of that world."
"I see, well, you'll be up for a lot of fun then," I giggled.
"Ahem!"
And then, a floating shovel started floating very close to me.
It was a shovel beautifully decorated with spirit wood and spirit crystals, looking shiny.
"A-Ah, Irene! I always use you though, why are you angry?"
"I also need a reforge!"
