I saw the runes converge with the Soul Orb, and then I saw Abe no Seimei imbue a tiny bit of his divine power, modifying the creation so it becomes even better than it could have been.
Then when everything fully merged, I saw a bright explosion of light, rapidly becoming a sphere of light that slowly melted into my soul, leaving behind an inscription, a series of runes combined together.

"It’s done!" I said. "I wonder if I can see the information though?"
"You can through this mirror," he nodded. "What do you think? Did I do a good job?"

I told that to Abe, and he seemed to nod.
"Indeed, Spatial Magic is incredibly troublesome," he said. "I was only able to master it when I was very old, mostly Formation and Territory Creation with Domain Expansion sort of... But something like pure Space Manipulation without any of such set-ups? It seems utterly incredible to even accomplish! Whoever you’re fighting, he must be an incredibly accomplished magician, right?"
"Yes, but he sold everything he was, his legacy, his own identity, the kingdom he swore to protect, all for more power, ending up sacrificing innocents and making a pact with demons," I explained. "He has become a despicable monster that doesn’t see human lives as anything but materials and tools for his growth or wicked experimentation..."
"Ah yes, I’ve battled such monsters before," he nodded. "Monsters that hide with the skin of a human, that pretend to be humans like you, but that ultimately are worse than Yokai or Oni, hahah... Oh dear, I’ve indeed fought quite a few."
He suddenly changed, although he giggled, Abe no Seimei looked incredibly sorrowful.
Whatever he recalled that person, that monster he battled.
It might have been a good friend of him that betrayed him, maybe.
Or perhaps someone he loved.
Or maybe someone that took someone he loved...
"When you see and met people like this... You often wonder if all these bonds you create as a person, even are valuable at all," he muttered. "If everything at all matters anymore, when you put so much effort into them, only to be betrayed... To such cruel people, the world by itself, is fake. They don’t believe in anything or anybody anymore. And only them, only their own lives, is the thing that matters over everything else. Family? Friends? Their own children? Grandchildren? Nothing matters. They lose their humanity- Hah, even monsters love and take care of their children though. So they ultimately become worse than monsters."
"Worse than monsters..." I muttered.
"For such beings... the only thing you can do is slay them for good," said Abe no Seimei. "Because to them, their very existence is suffering. You’ll be giving him a favor, if anything."
