Chapter 519: Therapy For Cultivators

Chapter 519: Therapy For Cultivators

Nora lay in her bed, the cool night air gently rustling the curtains. Her sleep was deep and untroubled, a very rare event for her since she came to this place.

Maybe it was because this particular night, the air in the room had been given a strong dose of sleeping medicine without her knowledge.

She was unaware of the shadows creeping along the walls. They moved with a silent, sinister purpose, inching closer and closer until they loomed over her.

Without warning, the shadows enveloped her, capturing her in their cold, ethereal grasp. She woke with a start, her heart pounding as she struggled against the unseen forces.

Her cries for help were muffled, and she felt herself being forced into a sack. The world around her faded into darkness, her resistance futile against the overwhelming power of the shadows.

When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in a vast, empty space. The air was thick with an eerie silence, broken only by her own panicked breaths.

The ground beneath her was hard and cold, resembling a fighting pit. But there was no audience, no sign of life. She stumbled back, her fear mounting as she screamed, "Is anyone there!? Help Me... PLEASE!"

Her voice echoed back at her, the silence mocking her desperation.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she cursed her own weakness. Memories of past abductions flooded her mind, the terror of being taken to strange places overwhelming her.

After all, this was not the first time this was happening. Every time she thought that she could be safe in a place, reality had a way of slapping her back on her toes.

She looked around, trying to figure out where she was.

Just then, a door on the wall creaked open, and a figure stepped out. It was a stick figure, roughly shaped like a man. It held a sword in one hand and staggered towards her with an unnatural gait. Nora’s breath caught in her throat as she watched it approach.

A deep, bass voice echoed around her, chilling her to the bone. "If you do not defend yourself, it will kill you."@@@@

The words barely registered in her mind when the stick figure kicked off the ground, rushing towards her with frightening speed.

Instinct took over. She jumped to the side, rolling on the ground just as the stick figure’s blade sliced through the air where she had stood. The sword smashed into the ground, sending a shower of dust and debris into the air.

Nora’s heart raced as she scrambled to her feet, her body trembling with fear and adrenaline. She looked around frantically for a weapon, anything she could use to defend herself. But the pit was empty, offering no solace or aid.

The stick figure turned to face her, its movements jerky and unnatural. It raised its sword again, readying for another attack. Nora’s mind raced, her instincts screaming at her to move, to fight, to survive.

As the figure lunged at her again, she dodged to the side again, narrowly avoiding the deadly blade. Her breath came in ragged gasps, her body moving on pure instinct trained during her time in the Chikitsa clan.

She could feel the distress of her Dantain. It nagged at her like a bad stomach ache, making fighting even more difficult.

She coughed, a spatter of blood hitting the ground, but she fought through it, her desperation fueling her resolve.

In a moment of clarity, she saw an opening. The hammer puppet overextended its swing, and she lunged forward, driving her sword into its chest. The puppet staggered, its movements faltering before collapsing to the ground. She pulled the sword free, turning just in time to block a brutal slash from the axe puppet.

Her arms trembled with the effort, but she held firm, pushing the puppet back. With a swift, decisive strike, she severed its arm, the axe falling from its grasp. She followed up with a final thrust to its torso, and the puppet crumpled, lifeless.

Nora stood amidst the wreckage, her chest heaving, her body screaming in pain. The oppressive silence returned, broken only by her ragged breaths.

"And here I thought you were a weak little girl," the bass voice echoed around her once more. "It would seem you still have some fight in you. Well, let’s see to what extent."

Four more puppets stepped forward. These were different. Two wielded weapons, a sword and a spear, while the other two oozed spiritual energy from their bodies, a visible aura of power surrounding them.

Nora’s heart pounded in her chest as she looked on in surprise. Nevertheless, she prepared for the next onslaught. She gripped the sword tightly...

Meanwhile, high up in the dark of a room, Young Master Eunid and Butler Old fang looked on as she fought.

"Young master Eunid are the training puppets you used for this not a little too much? Besides, is this even going to work?"

Eunid gave a side smile, "what do you mean by that? I specifically tuned the puppets to her level of power, this much should be okay for her to handle.

And yes, it will work. Or can’t you see it? her movements are becoming sharper with every battle, even the fearful expression on her face is no longer there.

Its like we are rising a sleeping Core beast. It is actually thrilling to watch. We were doing it wrongly all this while. She is a cultivator, we should not treat her PTSD like we do a normal person. pampering her to health will not work, only battle will purge her of her disease. After these ones are done, send the next set with the ability to control flames."

Old Fang looked at his young master and shook his head a little. Even he had to admit that he was not expecting what he was seeing. Then again, Young Master Eunid was the genius mind of the family.

The things his mind came up with were incredible. If only his young master had the cruelty to pair with such a mind, then it would be perfect, but Young master Eunid was just too kind.

After all, a person like his uncle and even other cousins within the Diligence family were against him and he had still done nothing about this.

Young Eunid looked turned to Old fang with a smile on his face. He was really excited.

(Author’s note: Damn! that was a long chapter. I got carried away writting I just couldn’t stop. It felt too good.)
