"So, do we run?" Thorn raised a brow.

"Of course, we fucking run." Ren had already raised a hand towards his paddle vines, trying to increase their speed. "What kind of question is that?"

"I thought you said they had a code." Thorn called out, incredulously.

"They don't attack fishing boats, dude." Ren answered.

The vines sped up, sending the boat cutting through the water faster than before.

Thorn looked around them like he was

A wave surged, this one taller than any before.

"Alright!" Ren said. "Time to let them win."

"WHAT?!" Thorn shrieked.

Ren let go of his control over the vines of the boat and turned to the others with a smile. "Relax. It'll be fun."
