They had initially planned to circle around the back of the complex to take advantage once Executioner Scholar and his group engaged the others inside. Unexpectedly, they ended up getting dragged into the melee with the Church's forces alongside Executioner Scholar and his group.

As Ye Qing emerged from here, he avoided those inside but soon encountered the vehicle in which Nalan Jingwei's group had arrived.

Ye Qing initially intended to bypass the vehicle and make a quiet exit. But a glance from afar revealed something was amiss inside the car. Inside, a man was pressing a woman beneath him, seeming ready to commit an unspeakable act. The woman was struggling desperately but seemed too weak, her efforts futile.

Ye Qing was surprised to come across such a situation in this remote place. But having a kind heart, he couldn't just walk away from such an atrocity. So, he picked up a stone from the ground, crept up to the car, and seized the moment when the man's attention was on the woman, striking the man on the head with the stone and knocking him out.

Completely focused, the man hadn't noticed his surroundings. Hit by the stone, he had no time to react and immediately passed out.

While speaking, Ye Qing noticed Wen'er's condition. Although his jacket covered her, it was clear that she had been through a lot during this time and looked visibly haggard.
