Chapter 514 I Want to Eat You
Chapter 514 I Want to Eat You
The man stood there, dressed in black, exuding a chilling aura. His dark eyes were as deep as an icy pool as he looked at her.
The woman wore a beige long dress and loungewear, her long hair loosely tied up, like a wife waiting for her husband to come home. However, the moment she saw him, the gentle smile on her lips vanished instantly.
"Who are you waiting for?"
The cold, deep voice was like an invisible hand gripping her throat, making it difficult for her to breathe.
Her fingers gripped the clothes at her side tightly.
The silence was so profound it was unsettling.
Rong Shu controlled her emotions, trying to calm herself down, and asked in a normal tone, "Why are you here?"
Sheng Tingchen stared at her, took a step closer, and Rong Shu was startled, "You..."
Looking into her eyes, I saw the rejection.
The man's voice grew even colder, "What kind of shady things do you have in your room?"
Before Rong Shu could say anything...
Sheng Tingchen strode inside and saw a pair of men's slippers placed in the entryway. He stopped in his tracks.
The surrounding air pressure seemed to drop instantly.
The orange tabby cat and the tabby cat meowed as they walked to the door, but upon sensing the presence at the door, they instantly bristled and hissed at the person outside.
Sheng Tingchen's gaze swept over the two little ones, and the orange tabby cat and the tabby cat became even more agitated, their limbs stiffening as they backed away.
Rong Shu noticed his gaze, remained silent, walked towards the two little ones, bent down and picked them up. The two little ones were still buzzing in her arms.
Rong Shu put them on the cat tree. The two little ones noticed the man approaching and immediately found a secluded place to hide.
Sheng Tingchen walked into the living room, his gaze sweeping across the space before he precisely located the direction of the bedroom and strode towards it.
Rong Shu noticed the man's movements, strode forward, and shouted, "Sheng Tingchen, what are you doing?"
When Sheng Tingchen arrived at her room, he opened her wardrobe, which contained only women's clothes.
Apart from the men's slippers in the entryway, there was nothing else in the house that shouldn't be there.
Seeing the man's actions, Rong Shu stepped forward and closed the wardrobe door, questioning, "Sheng Tingchen, are you sick in the head?"
The man's deep eyes were fixed on her, his hand resting on top of her head, his masculine aura pressing down on her. "Rong Shu, I'll give you one chance to explain?"
Rong Shu's back was pressed against the wardrobe. Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at the folic acid and prenatal vitamins she had placed on the bedside table. The man had just walked in and was rummaging through her wardrobe, not noticing the items on the bedside table.
She lowered her eyes, controlling her erratic breathing, and turned to walk out. "Let's eat first!"
Sheng Tingchen stared at the woman's back with his pupils constricted, feeling only a sense of frustration, as if all his emotions had been vented on a ball of cotton.
Rong Shu reached the door and, noticing the man behind her wasn't moving, stopped, turned back to look at him, and asked softly, "Do you want some?"
Sheng Tingchen took a deep breath and stepped forward.
Seeing him come out, Rong Shu breathed a sigh of relief.
We arrived at the restaurant.
Rong Shu walked up to the nanny and whispered a few words to her.
The nanny agreed and went back to her room.
Sheng Tingchen watched her subtle movements.
Rong Shu turned around and met the man's cold, sharp eyes. Her nerves tightened involuntarily, and she walked towards the dining table, saying, "Please sit down!"
The nanny went back to her room and called Jiang Huaixu, making up an excuse for him not to come over anymore.
Inside the restaurant.
Dinner consists of four meals and one soup.
Rong Shu served him a bowl of rice and placed it in front of him, saying, "Eat!"
More than a month later, he had clearly lost weight, his facial features had become more defined and sharp, the stubble around his lips was particularly noticeable, his eye sockets were sunken, and there were obvious dark circles under his eyes.
Sheng Tingchen is a person who pays great attention to his appearance, but I have never seen him in such an undignified state.
I served him a bowl of rice, then served myself one. I sat down opposite him, picked up my chopsticks, and silently ate my food.
Sheng Tingchen leaned back on the stool, his long legs spread wide, casually sitting, his deep eyes fixed on the woman eating quietly across from him.
Rong Shu looked up at him, who remained motionless, her gaze as if she were looking at a heinous criminal. She took a deep breath and asked, "Have you eaten?"
Sheng Tingchen said sarcastically, "It wasn't prepared especially for me."
Rong Shu patiently said, "Then what would you like to eat? I'll have the nanny make it for you again."
Sheng Tingchen, "I want to eat you up."
The words were spoken.
Rong Shu felt a chill run down her spine. She could tell that the sentence didn't have any other ambiguous meaning; it simply meant that the speaker wanted to devour her.
She gripped her chopsticks tightly and said, "Eating people is illegal."
The man simply scoffed.
Rong Shu didn't look at him again, and continued eating the rice in her own bowl, picking up some vegetables for herself.
The man opposite her really didn't touch his chopsticks; he just stared at her intently, as if he were looking at prey waiting to be slaughtered.
A sudden, inexplicable panic gripped her.
"I'll cook you a bowl of noodles."
Sheng Tingchen remained silent.
Rong Shu still got up and walked towards the kitchen. As long as she could get away from him, she could catch her breath a little. She boiled water and took out the noodles from the refrigerator.
She stood in front of the stove waiting for the water to boil, and every minute of that quiet wait felt suffocating.
Until the sound of boiling water was heard.
Coming to her senses, she put the noodles into the pot, stirred them with chopsticks, and once the noodles were cooked, she ladled them into a bowl. That evening, she cooked tomato and beef brisket, scooped a spoonful onto the noodles, put on oven mitts, carried the noodles to the dining table, and placed them in front of the man.
"Eat!"
Sheng Tingchen stared at the tomato and beef brisket noodles in front of him.
Rong Shu also looked at him. If he didn't eat, she wouldn't bother with him.
Finally, someone raised his precious hand and picked up his chopsticks.
Rong Shu put the gloves aside, sat back in her seat, and watched the man eat noodles with chopsticks, his usual noble and elegant demeanor gone.
She continued eating the food in her bowl.
In a quiet room.
The only sound was the clinking of cutlery.
At this time.
The doorbell rang.
Rong Shu was startled. Sheng Tingchen stopped eating and looked up at the woman, taking in her reaction.
"Why are you sitting there instead of opening the door?"
Rong Shu took a deep breath.
Before she could even get up.
A screeching sound of a stool scraping against the floor rang out. Sheng Tingchen stood up and strode toward the door.
As soon as the door opened.
The moment their eyes met, everything around them seemed to be swallowed up by the intense, low-pressure atmosphere.
Sheng Tingchen looked at him and said, "President Jiang arrived just in time; the food I prepared for you is still warm." His voice was full of sarcasm.
He turned and walked back to the restaurant, looking at the woman's somber face. "The person you've been waiting for has returned."
He mocked and ridiculed everyone as if he had caught them in adultery.
Jiang Huaixu walked into the house, went to the dining table, ignored the people standing to the side, pulled out the chair next to Rong Shu and sat down directly, asking Rong Shu in a detached manner, "Have you finished eating?"
