Nirvana Heiress: Reborn and Returning to Stir Up a Storm

Chapter 208 Financing

Chapter 208 Financing

As night deepened, a gentle breeze stirred outside Li Zhanchuan's villa, causing the curtains to flutter softly. Lin Chuyue sat at her desk, staring at her laptop screen, her brows slightly furrowed.

The screen displayed a complex series of financial transaction records, with funds flowing from different offshore accounts. Each transfer was meticulously planned to conceal the true source of the funds. However, Lin Chuyue stared at one of the accounts, her eyes flickering slightly—the registered address of this account was none other than a small fund company she had investigated earlier, and the legal representative behind this company had intricate connections with Luo Yurou.

She tapped her fingers lightly on the table, pondered for a moment, and then dialed a phone number.

"Hey, can you check the further flow of funds in this account for me?"

A calm male voice came from the other end of the phone: "We've started tracking them, but they've set up many obstacles. We need some time."

Lin Chuyue nodded: "As soon as possible."

After hanging up the phone, she rubbed her temples and was about to get up when suddenly there was a soft knock on the door.

"Come in."

Li Zhanchuan pushed open the door and entered, holding a cup of hot milk in his hand. His gaze fell lightly on her tired face: "You slept so late tonight, aren't you afraid your body can't take it?"

Lin Chuyue chuckled softly, took the milk, and looked up at him: "Why aren't you asleep either?"

Li Zhanchuan sat down opposite her, his gaze deep: "Are you investigating Luo Yurou?"

Lin Chuyue nodded, not denying it: "Her source of funds is questionable, and the funds are circulating rapidly. I suspect she's making final arrangements."

Li Zhanchuan frowned slightly, pondered for a moment, and then slowly said, "If there are indeed hidden dangers in her funding sources, it means that her backers are likely not stable either. What do you plan to do?"

Lin Chuyue smiled, a sharp glint in her eyes: "Let her think she's won first, and then..."

She paused, then whispered, "Let her lose completely."

Looking at the light in her eyes, Li Zhanchuan's lips curled up slightly, and his tone was full of doting: "This is the Lin Chuyue I know."

Lin Chuyue looked up and met his meaningful gaze. Her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly looked away, taking a sip of milk to hide her subtle emotions.

Meanwhile, in Luo Yurou's apartment.

She sat by the floor-to-ceiling window, holding a document in her hand, her gaze deep and unfathomable.

"How's the funding situation going?" Her tone was calm, but her eyes held a hint of pressure.

The man standing in front of her bowed slightly and replied respectfully, "We haven't found any signs of being completely locked down yet, but we have strengthened our account security measures. It's just... someone is watching us."

Luo Yurou's eyes changed slightly, but a cold smile appeared on her lips: "Is it Lin Chuyue?"

The man was silent for a moment, then nodded: "Yes."

Luo Yurou chuckled softly, casually placing the file on the table and tapping her fingers lightly on the surface, as if deep in thought. After a moment, she slowly spoke, "Since she wants to play, then we'll play a game with her."

She raised her head, her gaze icy: "Lin Chuyue... do you really think you have everything under control?"

The next morning, Lin Chuyue was handling business at the company when her assistant hurriedly entered the office, looking somewhat uneasy.

"President Lin, we just received news that Luo Yurou announced at the shareholders' meeting that she will be conducting a new round of financing."

Lin Chuyue paused slightly in her hand, pen in hand, and looked up at her assistant: "Financing?"

The assistant nodded and handed her a newly prepared document: "Yes, she plans to bring in new investors to further expand capital flow and increase the company's market valuation."

Lin Chuyue took the document, flipped through a few pages, and a thoughtful smile appeared on her lips.

"It seems she's really in a hurry."

She gently closed the file, a meaningful glint in her eyes: "The more anxious she is, the greater our chances."
