Chapter 157 Steel Plate Lettering
Chapter 157 Steel Plate Lettering
Chapter 157 Steel Plate Cross Fixation
"Hey hostage, I'm back. Did you empty the chamber pot?!" Gebu lifted the tent flap, and the goblin's sensitive nose detected an unfamiliar scent, his body reacting before his brain could. He instantly released a shadow clone, his main body disappearing back out of the tent, using the clone's senses to detect the anomaly inside.
The curtain separating the bed and living space was torn by claws. The calico catwoman sat cross-legged on the bed with unrestrained movements, hugging the trembling Tani. She peeked out from behind the girl and looked at the half-human in front of her.
Gebu recognized the orc at a glance. On the night he first encountered Soton and his group, the catwoman was driven away by his fire arrow and he had never seen her since.
It seemed that Thornton's group hadn't been completely wiped out. Gebu frowned; was she here for revenge?
Are there other beastmen?!
Outside the tent, Gebu summoned Big Eye, transforming it into a bat to keep watch around, while he continued to maintain his synesthesia.
Tani, Tani, I named you "meat ticket," and you really became a meat ticket—try to be more assertive!
"If you want to blackmail me, kidnapping this little girl won't work," Geb's shadow said. "This brat is worthless."
"Waaah—" Tani burst into tears. "You stinky goblin—you stinky goblin! You're a bad person—"
—
Catwoman was annoyed by the little girl's noise, so she suddenly hissed at her menacingly, scaring the little girl so much that she held back her tears.
"Shorton is dead. I didn't kill him; it was the castle sheriff. The grievances have their perpetrators, and you can't trace it back to me."
"Oh, Horn is dead?" Catwoman switched back to a nonchalant expression, seemingly unaware and indifferent. "That's good. Fina never liked that guy anyway."
"Who is Fina?" Gebu asked, somewhat puzzled, before suddenly realizing that the person was referring to him in the third person.
It seems that Gebu was called that when his IQ wasn't very high either. Sigh, what a dark history.
"Since you're not here for revenge, then just get to the point." Gebu asked bluntly, "What do you want, money?"
Is it something or something?
"Fina doesn't want gold, and she doesn't want any gifts. Fina wants Stinky to use magic to turn her back into her original form."
"Change back?"
"Fina wants Stinky to turn her back into a human!"
Huh?! Gebu's mouth dropped open in surprise.
So this guy is like me?
After the initial shock, Geb quickly regained his composure. This guy clearly didn't understand magic, much less how difficult it was to "turn back into a human."
"Do you know how difficult your request is? Let's not even talk about whether such magic exists; with my abilities, transforming one species into another is a far cry!"
"Liar! Fina smells goblin scent on Chou Chou. If Chou Chou can turn himself into a halfling, he can turn Fina into a human too." The catwoman shouted, her eyes wide, and instinctively arched her back, her claws reaching out to roam around the little girl's neck.
"It's an illusion, it's fake, you know?" Geb pointed to himself. "I can't actually turn myself into a halfling. If you just wanted to look human, you could do that, couldn't you? You beastmen should be able to hide your animalistic features, right?"
"You're lying!" Fina shouted relentlessly, completely ignoring Geb's explanation.
"Don't be stupid, keep your voice down!" Gebu replied, a little annoyed. If this continued, his secret would probably be known to everyone in the camp. "If you keep shouting and wake up the others, they won't be able to escape."
"Change me back to normal!"
"Wait a minute." Gebu held out a hand, gesturing to stop you. "Tell me first, how did you end up like this? If I'm going to help you, I need to understand the situation first, right?"
When the catwoman heard that Geb was going to help her, she paused for a moment, her mouth slightly agape, looking completely bewildered like a cat. Then, she quickly realized what he meant and said, "So that stinky wizard agreed to Fina's request?"
"Tell me first—aren't beastmen born this way? I see you embracing your animalistic nature and living quite well, so why do you want to become human?" Gebu asked.
"What's so good about it?" Fina looked at her tricolored fur with disgust, digging her claws into her skin as if she wanted to peel it off. She kicked her neck repeatedly with her legs, looking extremely agitated. "What's so good about being a wild animal!"
Fina just couldn't understand why everyone had to accept this so-called blessing of the forest. No one had ever asked Fina if she wanted to look like this! The tribe's shaman insisted that Fina had been chosen by the Velvet-tailed Demon and forced her to perform a bunch of strange rituals—Fina didn't want this body, so much hair, these claws, this tongue—even her brain was like a stupid cat's! So annoying! So annoying!
The more calico spoke, the more agitated she became, scratching wildly and making a mess of Gebu's bed. The pillow was torn, and goose feathers flew everywhere. The catwoman's attention was drawn to the flying feathers; her eyes were fixed on the things scattering in the air, and she didn't notice the little girl for a moment.
Seizing the opportunity, the hostage suddenly lunged forward, breaking free from the catwoman's embrace! Fina's pupils constricted instantly as she pounced on the little girl's back!
"Gravisutsaum!" Geb instantly chanted the Gravity Amplification spell, and the catwoman flying in mid-air suddenly fell in a zigzag pattern. She reacted instantly, flipped her body, and landed on all fours!
"As expected of a cat!" Geb couldn't help but exclaim.
The little girl immediately hid behind Geb, completely unaware that the Geb in front of her was an illusion.
Although the catwoman's body had become heavier, she could still move. She struggled to pounce on Geb's shadow!
Geb's true form quickly leaned into the tent, grabbed the little girl by the collar, and pulled her out. The catwoman, with great momentum, passed right through Geb's illusion, stumbled and crashed through the curtain, and fell outside the tent.
She turned and hissed fiercely at Geb and the little girl, about to pounce again when suddenly a lithe figure grabbed the catwoman's lower body, twisted her limbs, and instantly locked Fina's arms tightly. Two long, whip-like legs blocked the catwoman's face, a perfect armbar!
The swordswoman, like a torture device, tightly bound Fina, forcing the beastman's arm to its limit, causing her to grimace in pain.
"Admit defeat! Admit defeat!" the swordswoman said through gritted teeth, her face turning red.
"Fina will never surrender to steel plates!" Catwoman's face contorted as she shouted fiercely at the mercenary.
"#What the hell did you call me?!"
The torture devices were tightened even more, and the bones creaked!
"Meow!!!"
bang.
A crisp sound, accompanied by Fina's pitiful wail, echoed through the night in Chifang Town.
