Chapter 46 The True Value of Muscle-Building Drugs
Chapter 46 The True Value of Muscle-Building Drugs
She didn't try to persuade Li Ang to choose the more conventional and safer method of drug testing; she simply tilted her head slightly to signal to Ginny, who was standing to the side.
Ginny immediately understood, turned around and quickly took out several bottles of medicine from the medicine cabinet next to her and put them aside for later use.
Eve stared at the bottles of potions radiating powerful life force, lost in thought.
Just as Ginny was filled with fear, thinking that Eve was blaming her for giving her a potion that was too precious.
Eve finally spoke again, "Leon, wait a little longer."
After saying that, she turned and left the reception room, going into a room further inside.
When Eve opened the door, Li Ang could vaguely glimpse the layout inside; it must have been her bedroom.
Not long after, mentor Eve came out carrying a small box with a star pattern drawn on it.
When Ginny saw the small box, she was taken aback at first, then she remembered something.
A storm of emotions surged through her heart. That…that was it! She had heard of that box and what was inside it.
That was a gift from the tower's owner, the legendary wizard Riley.
The recipient of the gift was Carlos Chloe, who had fought alongside him for many years, assisted him in building the tower, and established the Potions School within it.
The school's leader couldn't bear to use it himself, so he left it to Lady Eve. It can be said to be the most precious item in the Chloe family, a panacea!
That was a legendary medicine that was said to cure all diseases in the world and even bring the dead back to life.
Lady Eve, you actually brought out such a treasure for such a lowly apprentice? Why is that?
Eve, holding the box, glanced at Ginny, who was standing to the side, and gestured for her to leave first.
Upon seeing this, the attendant, whose mind was still in turmoil, immediately bowed and left the room.
However, Li Ang had no way of knowing any of this. He only felt more at ease when he saw that Eve seemed to take his request very seriously.
"Thank you, mentor." He thanked him again, then picked up the bottle of muscle-building potion, tilted his head back, and drank the liquid in one gulp.
The medicine entered my throat like a warm current, but quickly turned into a distinct burning sensation. It went down my esophagus and then spread rapidly throughout my body.
Li Ang groaned, feeling as if the blood in his body was flowing faster, and his muscle fibers were being stimulated by countless tiny needles, sending waves of soreness, numbness, itching, and a slight stinging sensation through him.
His skin began to turn red, his body temperature rose significantly, and large beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.
Li Ang could clearly feel that his strength seemed to be slowly increasing, and the muscle contours of his arms, chest, and abdomen were becoming clearer and fuller.
The process lasted for about fifteen minutes before the burning and soreness gradually subsided.
Li Ang let out a long sigh, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and then moved his hands and feet. His strength had indeed increased, and his body felt more solid.
He rolled up his sleeves and looked at his arms. His once thin arms now showed some thin muscle lines.
Although he was far from being burly, he had at least escaped the category of skinny. Is that all? Li Ang couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.
After expending so much material and effort, the final result seems... rather mediocre? It's far from the transformative change he had envisioned.
However, what he didn't notice was that Eve, sitting on the opposite sofa, was currently experiencing intense shock and disbelief in her beautiful eyes.
As a potion master, her perception and knowledge far surpassed Li Ang's.
She clearly sensed the tremendous changes that had occurred in Li Ang's body within the short fifteen minutes that the medicine took effect.
That wasn't just a simple change in appearance; his muscle density, bone strength, cell vitality... were all permanently improved in an extremely gentle way with no side effects.
Eve picked up her teacup, took a small sip, and used it to calm her wildly beating heart.
Ever since she witnessed Li Ang's refining process in the workshop, her heart had been pounding wildly, and she had no choice but to brew a pot of calming tea to calm her racing heart.
But no matter how much calming tea she drank, Eve's heart, which had been stagnant for a hundred years, still couldn't stop pounding wildly.
"Did you make this?" Eve's voice was deliberately stiff to cover up the strangeness in her tone.
"Yes, mentor," Li Ang replied respectfully, feeling both apprehensive and expectant.
Her voice, though steady, carried a hint of dreamlike murmur.
"Li Ang, the energy level and properties contained in this potion have reached the level of a high-grade potion. Theoretically speaking, this is not something you can successfully refine."
Li Ang felt something was off. He sensed that Eve's tone didn't seem to be questioning him, but rather that she was simply bewildered.
Probably not. He's a potion master, after all. It's just a high-level potion; it shouldn't be that serious.
Meeting her gaze, Li Ang said frankly, "Master, this is indeed something I just refined. I... I used a slightly different method."
"A different method?" Eve's eyebrows twitched almost imperceptibly.
"Yes." Li Ang took a deep breath and continued.
"My mental strength simply couldn't balance such intense energy conflicts using traditional heating and fusion methods. So I tried... cold extraction."
"Cold extraction?" Eve repeated the word. So that's what he called this low-temperature fusion method.
Li Ang continued to explain.
"By utilizing low-temperature extraction and fusion, I lowered the temperature of most of the reaction process through the Eternal Frost Rune Cabinet, which greatly slowed down the rate of drug conflict and gave the stabilizer and my weak mental energy enough room to maneuver."
Eve nodded: "This is a path that no one has ever imagined, but that alone is probably not enough."
"Yes. I also improved the stabilizer." Li Ang continued, explaining in detail his composite stabilizer formula, the idea of adding ice crystals to calm energy, and using soul stones as a buffer and extension of mental power.
As Li Ang narrated, Eve's inner doubts were finally resolved, and a completely new path appeared before her.
She widened her eyes slightly as she looked at Li Ang, as if she were seeing this apprentice for the first time.
By employing cold extraction, complex stabilizers, and the spiritual extension of Soul Stones, he bypassed the absolute dependence on spiritual power in the original system. This meant that high-level potions would no longer be a symbol of high-level wizards; once the method was mastered, any wizard could potentially create them successfully.
This is simply a brilliant idea.
Standing before him was a genius wizard comparable to any legendary figure.
And that's not all; the potion he concocted was full of infinite possibilities, and her heart began to pound uncontrollably once again.
Her gaze toward Li Ang was extremely complex, containing incredulous amazement and the joy of discovering a treasure, but these emotions were quickly overshadowed by deep worry.
Eve took another large gulp of calming tea, forcing herself to calm down. Her voice, strained from suppressing her immense emotional turmoil, became even lower and more serious.
"Li Ang, you are a true genius, but your current situation is very dangerous."
