Chapter 551 County-wide Promotion
Chapter 551 County-wide Promotion
At 2 p.m. sharp, a black Santana sedan stopped at the factory gate on time.
The car door opened, and four people dressed in Zhongshan suits got out. The one in the lead was a middle-aged man wearing glasses and carrying a black briefcase.
"Hello, are you the person in charge of Sanheshan Treasures Co., Ltd." The middle-aged man stepped forward and was very polite.
"Yes, I am Li Xiangyang." Li Xiangyang stepped forward and extended his hand. "Thank you all for coming from afar."
"I'm Section Chief Chen from the Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision." The middle-aged man shook hands with Li Xiangyang. "I'm here today mainly to conduct a routine inspection of your company's product quality and production processes."
“Of course, of course.” Li Xiangyang nodded. “Please follow me.”
As the group entered the factory, Li Xiangyang introduced the facilities as they walked.
The inspection team visited the workshop, warehouse, and offices, inquiring about relevant rules, regulations, and operating procedures at each location.
Li Xiangyang answered fluently, and all kinds of certificates and documents were complete, making the inspection team's expressions increasingly relaxed.
"General Manager Li, your management is very standardized," Section Chief Chen concluded. "From raw material procurement to product delivery, every step has clear quality control measures."
"Thank you for your affirmation, Section Chief Chen," Li Xiangyang said with a smile. "We have always believed that quality is the lifeline of a company, and there can be no room for carelessness."
“This is a good idea.” Section Chief Chen closed his notebook. “That concludes today’s inspection. We will issue a formal inspection report within three working days.”
"Those gentlemen tonight..." Li Xiangyang asked politely.
"No, we'll head back today," Section Chief Chen waved his hand. "There are other places to inspect."
After seeing the inspection team off, Ma Qingfu breathed a long sigh of relief: "Xiangyang, it seems we've passed."
"There was never any problem to begin with," Li Xiangyang smiled. "Our factory is run legitimately, what's there to be afraid of?"
"That's true," Ma Qingfu nodded, "but I was still a little nervous just now."
"What's there to be so nervous about?" Li Xiangyang patted him on the shoulder. "There will be more and more of these kinds of checkups in the future; you'll have to get used to it."
As they were talking, Li Xiaohua came out of the office: "Brother, someone called looking for you."
Whose is it?
"He says he's from the county, surnamed Liu, and wants you to go there when you have time."
Li Xiangyang's heart skipped a beat. What could the county possibly want with him?
"When are you going?"
"Tomorrow morning," Li Xiaohua said, "They said they want to discuss a project with you."
Li Xiangyang and Ma Qingfu exchanged a glance, both seeing confusion in each other's eyes.
"What project?" Ma Qingfu asked.
"I don't know, they didn't explain it clearly over the phone," Li Xiaohua shook her head.
Li Xiangyang thought for a moment and said to Ma Qingfu, "You keep an eye on the factory tomorrow. I'll go to the county to see what's going on."
"Do you want me to go with you?"
"No need, I can go myself," Li Xiangyang waved his hand. "You stay here and oversee production. We have a lot of orders lately, so we can't afford any problems."
When I got home in the evening, Li Xiaoyun was busy in the kitchen.
"How was today's checkup?" she asked while chopping vegetables.
"Everything went smoothly, no problems." Li Xiangyang sat by the stove. "But the county is looking for me tomorrow, I wonder what it's about."
"Could this be a good thing?" Li Xiaoyun stopped what she was doing. "Maybe they're going to support you."
"That's possible." Li Xiangyang nodded. "I have indeed heard recently that the higher authorities are encouraging the development of private enterprises."
"That's good." Li Xiaoyun continued chopping vegetables. "Your factory is doing so well; the county should be able to see it."
The next morning, Li Xiangyang drove to the county.
"Is Section Chief Liu here?" Li Xiangyang asked in the reception room.
"Are you General Manager Li Xiangyang?" the receptionist asked warmly. "Section Chief Liu is waiting for you on the third floor."
Li Xiangyang went up the stairs to the third floor.
"Mr. Li, it's an honor to meet you!" A man in his forties greeted him. "I'm Liu Jianjun, head of the Economic Development Section."
"Section Chief Liu, you're too kind." Li Xiangyang shook hands with him. "May I ask what brings you here?"
"Please sit down, please sit down." Liu Jianjun led Li Xiangyang into the office and personally poured him a cup of tea. "President Li, your Sanheshan Treasure Company is now a star enterprise in our county."
Li Xiangyang smiled modestly: "We wouldn't call ourselves celebrities, just an ordinary small business."
"Don't be modest." Liu Jianjun sat down. "We've all heard about it. Your company not only produces high-quality products, but it has also helped increase the income of farmers in several surrounding villages. That's a real achievement."
“It’s only right,” Li Xiangyang said. “We ourselves come from farming backgrounds, so it’s only right that we help our fellow villagers.”
“That’s precisely why the county wants to cooperate with you,” Liu Jianjun’s tone became more formal. “We’re planning to promote a deep-processing project for agricultural products throughout the county, and we hope your company can participate.”
Li Xiangyang's heart skipped a beat: "What kind of project?"
"Simply put, it means using your company as the leading enterprise to drive the development of the entire county's agricultural product processing industry." Liu Jianjun produced a document. "The county can provide policy support, including preferential policies in land, taxation, and loans."
Li Xiangyang took the document and flipped through it, increasingly convinced that this was an opportunity.
"How exactly will we cooperate?" he asked.
“Our idea is that the county government will coordinate, and your company can expand its scale and build a larger processing plant,” Liu Jianjun explained. “At the same time, we will help other villages and towns establish similar processing points, forming a network.”
"That's a good idea," Li Xiangyang nodded, "but it requires a significant financial investment."
"You don't need to worry about that," Liu Jianjun said confidently. "The county has already applied for special funds from the province, and we can also coordinate bank loans."
Li Xiangyang pondered for a moment; this was indeed a rare opportunity. If they could gain the county's support, the company's development could reach a new level.
"Section Chief Liu, what is the timeline for this project?"
“If you agree to participate, we hope to get started as soon as possible,” Liu Jianjun said. “We aim to achieve preliminary results by the end of the year.”
“I need to go back and discuss it with my partners,” Li Xiangyang said. “After all, this is a big project, and we can’t make a hasty decision.”
"Of course, of course," Liu Jianjun said understandingly. "Take your time to consider it. You can come to me anytime if you have any questions."
Li Xiangyang took the documents and said goodbye, feeling both excited and somewhat worried.
What's exciting is that if this project succeeds, it will not only allow the company to grow and expand, but also help more farmers increase their income and become wealthy.
The concern is that the larger the project, the greater the risk, and if something goes wrong, the consequences could be severe.
