Chapter 363 Far from the Tree
Chapter 363 Far from the Tree
'Whoa, what the hell is this place?' I mused to myself as we stepped into a colossal chamber.
It was nothing like the prison cell in Seoul; this looked more like a metallic dome customized only for the most dangerous and powerful villain this world had ever seen.
In the center, there was another dome made of thick glass, and through it, I spotted an old man lying on a bed, deeply engrossed in a book. He seemed completely oblivious to our presence.

'Is that my grandpa? He's just chilling down here,' I chuckled to myself, seeing how he was casually flipping through a book. And there wasn't just one but dozens of it scattered on the floor.
'Are we going to fly to cross?' I pondered to myself, as there seemed to be no visible bridges.
It felt akin to watching a certain mutant with a metal helmet confined in a space where his powers were restricted.
Well, from what I read in his profile, my granddad's portfolio was even more menacing.
At least that magnet guy had some noble purposes, unlike my grandfather, who was just doing things impulsively. I sometimes wondered if I was adopted because I was different from my relatives.
"I thought he was weak now; why are we putting so much effort into locking him up?" I casually asked the prison director.
It wasn't a suspicious question, given my status in the admin department that didn't grant me access to certain information.
He just looked at me and chuckled, "It's normal. He might be weak now, but he is still dangerous. This is just in case he suddenly recovers," he answered.
'Whoa, my grandpa is an OG; people are still afraid of him despite looking this old,' I thought to myself. He had committed so many heinous crimes when he was young that he still instill this much fear. Talk about being evil.
Now I felt a twinge of shame.
They seemed to have forgotten about me. No one was talking about Zero-One, the person who killed thousands and sunk warships in North korea. Where the hell was my fear factor?
"Is he really that dangerous ?" I asked.
Fortunately, my question was answered immediately when Zhang entered the place, passing through it as if it were jelly.
'Who are you,' my grandfather stopped reading his book, focusing his gaze at Zhang.
"I'm Zhang Jing , the current number One gifted in Asia ," he introduced himself with a prideful tone.
"Zhang Jing? Are you related to Zhang Jung ?" My grandfather asked with a quavering voice, aged and filled with the weight of years.
"He's my grandfather ," Zhang replied .
"I see. I could see some similarities. How is he?" My grandfather inquired, the lines of his face softening into a warm smile. It was as if he were asking about the well-being of a long-lost friend.
This expression startled me; I had anticipated a more sinister demeanor based on the reports, but he was more normal than I thought.
However, Zhang's face turned a little bit sour when he heard my grandfather's warm words.
"Dead, you killed him, remember?" He replied, still maintaining his composure.
"Did I? Sorry, I've killed so many ants in my life that I've forgotten about them already," my grandfather started laughing maniacally. The quavering and weak voice was gone.
"Zhang... Zhang... right, right. I remember now. I killed him after stealing his wife from him too. Boy, are you sure you're not my grandson?
I fuck her wife so much that I might be your real grandfather!" he added with a sadistic grin.
'Damn, he is too ruthless. How can he say such things?'
I felt embarrassed by his words. He was far from me, as I was respectful of others' feelings, and would never brag about fucking someone's else wife.
How could he just rub it in Zhang's face like that? What a jerk.
I refused to believed that we are related by blood.
