Chapter 361 Power of Information Part 1
Chapter 361 Power of Information Part 1
"I see," I replied with a nod, and maintained a calm expression.
I am now undercover, and I wasn't really planning to face him directly.
Even in the hypothetical scenario where I did confront him, my current power was still sufficient to take him down if he were caught off guard
I still had a day left before my copied abilities would expire. A single strike with my blackhole would be enough to bring him down.
Plus, even without the black hole, I could still take him down using my other powers. Our fight before didn't really count because I was just messing around with him.
If I were serious back then, I could wipe them out using Quantum Magnet. I could even weaken him sufficiently to use my Dream Manipulation.
Still, a question lingered in my mind: 'What was he doing in this place?'
From what I knew, Zhang normally hung around in China, his homeland.
"Do you know why he's here?" I asked.
"No clue. I actually came here assuming you knew. I mean, my status is lower than yours, Director Joon," he replied in a joking manner. This guy really enjoyed cracking jokes.
"Alright, stop bothering me," I waved him away and stepped into my office. Unlike the others agents who share cubicles, I have my own small office to work in.
It's not as big as the one in Seoul, but it's decent for this place where the director's status isn't as high.
I quickly hop onto my computer, downloading the malware I created. It was a product of studying how the AI functions in this place, with minor tweaks to suit my needs.
After a few minutes, I manage to extract some files from the network. I even pull off intercepting emails from the other directors.
The network here isn't linked to the outside Internet, making nabbing those emails quite an easy feat.
'It's locked?' I notice that the emails were encrypted in a stricter format compared to the residential area.
So, I took some time to study it, creating codes and programs to crack them open. Before I know it, I've unlocked 20 emails from various directors and important staff across different departments.
I quickly scanned through the emails, only opening the ones that caught my interest.

'He wanted to talk to my grandpa?' I wondered. It made me curious. From what I knew, my grandfather wasn't in the best shape, so they couldn't be looking to recruit him.
'They must want info about that Zol bloodline,' I figured.
The appearance of that Zely probably had something to do with it. My mother and grandpa was the closest leads they had. Things were starting to make sense.
I kept reading the other emails, finding some interesting stuff. But my main goal wasn't spying; it was getting the layout of this place and figuring out how they defend it.
An hour passed by.
'I'm in," I grinned to myself.
Using the login details from a Security director, I slipped into their system that has a tight firewall without a hitch.
'I guess I'm good at squeezing through tight spots,' I chuckled, remembering all my past experience with tight places.
Downloading a massive amount of data would raise too many red flags. So, I decided to memorize everything manually.
It wasn't much trouble, and within a few minutes, I had the entire layout of the place etched in my mind. I also pieced together the defense mechanisms against intruders.
Moreover, I pinpointed two potential locations for the Main Frame server, both situated in the Technology department on the bottom floor.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.
Hearing a knock, I quickly glanced at the CCTV footage outside my office. There was Yen, dressed in her typical black office attire, holding a stack of files.
Thankfully, my table had a button to unlock the door, so I could let her in without needing to stand up.

"Here are the files you requested before, Director Joon," she replied in a professional manner, as if what happened between us last night had never occurred.
It was better this way since I didn't have the time to play the secret lover role with her right now.
"Do you have anything else to say?" I asked, keeping my eyes on the monitor to show that I was busy.
"Yes, the head director wanted me to let you know that you'll be accompanying Mr. Zhang. She mentioned that the person assigned earlier was sent to medical area because of an unexpected incident," she replied.
"Me?" I responded , taken aback by the unexpected news.
