Chapter 1457 Neron's Rise
Chapter 1457 Neron's Rise
The world seemed to shudder under the pressure of Neron Kaelid's resolve.
The despair that had suffocated him moments ago evaporated, replaced by a surge of raw, untamed power. His body felt weightless, yet immeasurably strong, as if the very fabric of reality bent to his will.
Aether—boundless, radiant, and overwhelming—coursed through his veins, igniting his existence like a supernova.
He clenched his fists, feeling the power ripple outward in waves, distorting the broken landscape and silencing the Nether's ominous roar.
"What... what is this?" Neron whispered, his voice barely audible over the crescendo of energy swirling around him.
Legris Damien took a cautious step back, his smirk faltering as he felt the sudden shift in Neron's presence.
"Impossible... You're actually—"
Before he could finish, a brilliant constellation of stars materialized above Neron, shimmering with an ethereal glow. From the constellation, a figure descended—a being cloaked in celestial light.
It was humanoid but otherworldly, its form fluid and ever-shifting, radiating an aura of supreme authority.
Libra, one of the most powerful of the Constellations, had answered Neron's call.
"You..." Neron stared at the celestial being, his mind in a daze.
The Aether within him seemed to resonate with Libra, and for a moment, he was unsure where his power ended and the Constellation's began.
"Neron Kaelid," Libra's voice echoed in his mind, calm yet commanding. "You have awakened as a Singularity. Your existence defies the natural order, but it also bears the weight of balance. I am Libra, the Scales of Equilibrium. Will you form a contract with me to restore what has been broken?"
Neron didn't hesitate.
"Yes. If it means stopping this madness, I'll do it."
The moment he spoke, a brilliant light enveloped him and Libra. The bond between them was instantaneous, and Neron felt his power magnify exponentially. Libra's essence merged with his, creating a perfect harmony of strength and purpose.
Legris, who had been watching in stunned silence, finally snapped out of his shock.
"No... this wasn't supposed to happen!" His voice trembled as he attempted to retreat, but Neron's gaze locked onto him like a predator spotting its prey.
"You've manipulated me for the last time, Legris." Neron's voice was steady, cold, and filled with an unshakable resolve.
This was for Serah!
Legris raised his hand, summoning countless clones of himself from his hidden dimension. They appeared in an instant, each one identical, surrounding Neron in an attempt to overwhelm him.
"You think you can stop me? I exist across countless realities! You'll never—"
A single wave of Aether erupted from Neron, obliterating every clone in an instant. The air crackled with energy as he extended his hand toward the original Legris.
"This is for everything you've done," Neron said, his voice carrying the weight of his fury and regret.
Legris screamed, his form disintegrating under the sheer force of Neron's power.
Neron didn't stop there. He reached across the dimensions, hunting down every version of Legris that existed within it.
Each one met the same fate, erased from existence with surgical precision.
When it was over, the world fell silent. Legris Damien was no more.
The sheer intensity of their clash bent space-time, creating gravitational anomalies that swallowed entire solar systems. Yet Neron pressed on, each strike more precise and devastating than the last.
But even his power wasn't enough.
The Nether roared again, its form expanding, consuming the remnants of the galaxy around it.
"You are nothing compared to me, Singularity! Your power is finite, but I am eternal!"
Neron gritted his teeth, his energy beginning to waver.
Despite the overwhelming Aether flowing through him, the Nether's sheer scale and might were pushing him to his limits.
It was then that the stars themselves answered his call.
One by one, more Constellations appeared.
Sagittarius, the Archer; Leo, the Lion; Orion, the Hunter; and others too numerous to name descended from the heavens, their celestial forms radiating unimaginable power.
Each one acknowledged Neron with a nod, their voices echoing in unison.
"You are the Singularity. The ONE chosen by Aether herself. We lend you our strength."
A torrent of energy flooded into Neron, his body glowing brighter than ever as the power of the Constellations fused with his own. His form expanded, becoming a celestial being of light and balance.
His voice reverberated across the cosmos, filled with the combined will of the Constellations.
"You wanted destruction, Nether? Let me show you the true power of creation!"
The Nether recoiled as Neron raised his hands, drawing upon every ounce of his Aether and Constellation energy within him.
A massive glyph of intricate design appeared in the void above them, spinning with overwhelming power. From it, beams of light rained down, piercing the Nether's form and tearing away the Arcanas it had consumed.
"No! NO!" the Nether screamed, its voice filled with panic as its essence began to unravel. "I cannot be defeated! I—!"
Neron thrust his hand forward, his energy coalescing into a final, blinding strike.
"You are nothing but a shadow of chaos. BEGONE!"
The blast struck the Nether at its core, detonating with a force that rippled across the universe. Stars reignited, galaxies realigned, and the fractures in reality began to mend. The Nether's form disintegrated, its screams fading into silence as the Arcanas within it were obliterated.
As the light faded, the universe seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.
Libra and two others hovered around him. The remaining Constellations bowed to Neron before fading back into their own dimension, their purpose fulfilled.
Neron hovered in the void, his Aether still glowing faintly. He looked at his hands, the weight of what he had done sinking in. The Nether was gone. The Arcanas were destroyed. Balance had been restored.
But at what cost?
He cast his gaze upon the ruined galaxy, now eerily quiet.
A sense of profound loneliness settled over him. Despite the victory, the loss was immeasurable.
Still, he clenched his fist, determination burning anew in his heart.
"I'll rebuild what's been lost. No matter how long it takes."
