elsewhere, lory and garrof used another lane specifically for airport workers to get out of the airport, sometimes they were stopped by airport security right there but when garrof gave them his class a hunter identification they automatically let garrof and the others through, though they occasionally throw a quick glanced at lory because she was wearing a hoodie and sunglasses that cover her face, despite that they could tell she must be an attractive woman.

'pippp-pippp-pipp' the sound of the cell phone rang suddenly.

lory took out her cell phone from her jacket to check who was calling her, it was then her step stopped abruptly, instantaneously she immediately took off her glasses, shortly after, her whole face lit up with joy and excitement.

"li xin!" lory exclaimed in joy.

[lo..ry .... wife ... can you hear me?] zhao li xin's voice broke up.

lory ran to a place that might have a better signal [hello, li xin are you there ... can you hear me?] lory bit her lips anxiously.

it was quiet for a moment then zhao li xin's voice came again [... yes, my wife could hear you.]

lory leaned weakly against the giant glass window then breathed a sigh of relief [thank god, are you fine?]

[of course, what can happen to me?] zhao li xin said in a half-joking tone.

but listening to the tone usually makes lory relaxed because that means he is fine. zhao li xin is also happy to hear lory's voice [what about your wife? how is the flight?]

lory turned her gaze to the view below where the plane she was on before, only then did she realize that the damage to the plane was worse than she previously thought.

[i had no idea but i encountered a weird circle written with runes on the floor and in the middle of it there was an ugly statue holding something like a sphere with a weird symbol. when i entered the circle suddenly the rune circle lit up for a second as if it activated something then the next thing happened i heard a lot of pending messages from my phone, i'm sorry i made you worry] zhao li xin had read all lory message and immediately called her.

lory interest pique [can you take pictures and send them to me?]

[yes, coincidently i have other things that want to show you] said zhao li xin.

[okay, just send me all] lory thinks zhao li xin might find something very interesting.

"by the way, what is their group name anyway" lory got curious for some reason.

"the rising hero" lloyd answers flatly.

"....." there was a long silence between them.

"how can you say that with a straight face?" garrof can't hide his disgust.

lory shakes her head and then puts on her sunglasses "let's get out of here" she wanted to examine the pictured zhao li xin gave to her.

zhao li xin tucked his cell phone into his jacket with a faint smile on his face, but then the smile disappeared as he turned his gaze to the pitch-black road in front of him. not long after, he heard the scraping sound of something large slithering against the grounds followed by an awful smell that made his nose wrinkle.

he drew the sword as he waiting what creatures would greet him. the sounds are getting closer and closer regardless zhao remains composed as he stands still waiting patiently, and excitedly.

a rough clicking sound broke the silence. from the darkness, a giant hideous head appeared with long fangs and an elongated body with hundreds of long thin legs growing on each side of the creature that turned out to be a giant creature that shared similarities with a centipede.

disgusting greenish saliva dripped between its fangs making the beast look even more terrifying than already is. zhao li xin knows from the information he read beforehand that the beast is called zantera, the shape of this beast resembles a centipede only it has a fifty meters body and can spray acid that can soften even the hardest bones whether it's human armor or beast, combined with impenetrable skin that is impossible for ordinary weapons to penetrate, making this creature fall into the category as the 'priest level' which means that most hunters who encounter this creature will end in death.

"another ugly creature" zhao li xin snort in utter disgust.

the beast let out a high-pitched screech that shook the wall of the labyrinth as if angered by zhao li xin's taunts. the beast charged forward with its long giant body hitting the stone walls of the labyrinth causing pebbles to fall from the top of the labyrinth.

zhao li xin lunged towards the beast at top speed. he nimbly bounced from wall to wall before spinning in the air then deftly swung his sword towards the beast's head but the beast's thick hide made his attack bounce off.

even so, zhao li xin was not discouraged once again he launched another attack at the beast's several weak points, alas his attack had little effect due to the beast's thick skin instead it only fueled the beast's wrath.

the angry beast sprayed acid toward zhao li xin but he quickly dodged it then he channeled his energy into his legs and kept the flow steady while he ran vertically on the wall surface freely before he somersaulted into the air then landed on the ground. suddenly the beast swung its tail at zhao li xin it would injured him gravely if he hadn't managed to raise his sword to block the attack. even so, zhao li xin was thrown heavily to the ground luckily he managed to land on his feet unfortunately the attack managed to break his arms.

the beast screamed deliberately showing its fangs with rows of sharp teeth, including thick and sticky saliva that spurted from the beast's mouth.

zhao li xin's beautiful brows creased closely not because he was intimidated but because he realized his current limits, if he was this weak how could he protect lory? frustration enveloped him, he couldn't continue like this, somehow he had to push his limits like before.

zhao took off his jacket and then threw it aside, soon his eyes darkened without the slightest hint of light just like a deep abyss it was cold and hollow. as soon as he opened his hands, a blazing blue flame enveloped his entire body like a living torch shortly after the clothes his wearing slowly burned away.

"if my sword is useless perhaps my flame could do the work" he tilted his head and smirked. the beast appeared to be wary it didn't dare to attack recklessly instead the creature slittered on the wall it circled zhao li xin.

"come to me....don't be shy" his handsome face is masked with brutality and excitement that he never dared to show to lory.
